Correct Our Thoughts In Order to Better Offer Salvation to Sentient Beings

A practitioner was arrested while clarifying the truth to others. The policeman pushed him into a water puddle on the ground. The policeman would not listen to the practitioner's truth clarification. Among the onlookers, a kind elderly woman attempted to stop him but she was pushed away by others. From this incident, some practitioners think that people nowadays have become indifferent because they have been deceived by the lies and become afraid of Jiang's regime. Others think that all that ordinary people care about is money and they are full of evil thoughts. I think both opinions exemplify what many people in China are thinking. But meanwhile we still need to look within ourselves.

We still have some shortcomings in clarifying the truth. There are still people who have not realized that Falun Dafa is closely associated with their lives and that positioning one's heart in favor of Dafa is choosing life, while the alternative is elimination. Nowadays there are some bad thoughts in people. They have become deviated. If they conform to the evil, they will be controlled by the old forces. Regarding the old forces, Teacher said:

"Because they also need to be saved."

"Everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciple's thoughts."

("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A").

Teacher also said:

"Thus, Falun can save oneself by turning inward and save others by turning outward... It can rectify this abnormal state. When an evil-minded person is thinking of something bad, this person might change his mind due to the powerful effect of your field... Only the energy field from cultivation practice in a righteous way can produce this effect. Therefore, in the past there was this saying in Buddhism: 'The Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities.'"

Therefore, we as practitioners in the Fa-rectification period should be able to change ordinary people's thoughts and rectify abnormalities. In our minds, we should not hate them or become discouraged. We also should not have the thought that they will not read our truth-clarification materials, or that they would tear them apart if we give them such materials. We need to have "compassion that can melt steel." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference). We should not be led by ordinary people's thoughts and behavior. Instead we should persistently and patiently clarify the truth to them with great compassion. Eliminate all the bad thoughts in ordinary people's mind and eliminate all evils in other dimensions controlling ordinary people, awaken their kindness and let justice fill their mind. Eliminate evils and obstacles that prevent people from seeing the truth so they become willing to read and spread truth materials and support Falun Gong, thus bringing them a bright future.
