(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday March 22, 2003, at the end of the weeklong activities in Geneva, a few Dafa practitioners visited one of the Tibetan temples in the Swiss Alps. Practitioners hoped to inform people about the facts of the persecution against Falun Gong.

After some inquiries, practitioners reached a temple that was located on the slope of a mountain that overlooked a beautiful lake and town about 1000 feet below. It so happened that a Swedish Dafa practitioner and her daughter were living in a nearby town. When practitioners telephoned her, she came out to meet them and said that they knew the monks personally and that this Saturday the monks would hold their prayer session.

Practitioners were sitting in the garden outside the dining hall and kitchen while the monks were having their prayer session. At noon the door of the temple opened and a stream of monks and a few nuns in dark red and orange robes came out, passing by as they went to the dining hall. Some of the monks and nuns were westerners. We greeted each other politely.

We were invited to have lunch with the monks and nuns. Our chatting topic quickly switched to that we are Falun Gong practitioners and that Falun Gong is being persecuted in China. For a short while the practitioners became the center of attention.

After lunch, we chatted with the monks. Their first sentence was usually, "Are you the people who are brutally persecuted in China?" Thus, our talking topic was quickly turned to Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, freedom of belief, and the facts about the persecution. They all carefully listened to us and occasionally asked us some questions.

After lunch, we visited the temple. Two elderly monks came to talk with us. They were very friendly and gave special permission for us to take pictures and a short video recording. We also handed them some information about Falun Dafa in different languages, which they took with pleasure. They invited us to visit them again.

This seemed to be a special day for all. We talked with the monks in the kitchen, by the lunch table, in the yard and in front of their temple. The languages used were sometimes Chinese, sometimes English and sometimes German; they all seemed very happy to talk. We told them about Zhen-Shan-Ren [Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance] and they listened with a smile.

Among the visitors, was a man from China and practitioners told him the real story about Falun Gong. He said that he knew about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and he admired that practitioners came to the UN Human Rights Convention to make their voices heard.
