Reporters in Mudanjiang City Frame and Defame Dafa, Naming Murderers as Falun Dafa Practitioners

Due to my belief in Falun Dafa, I was detained in the Mudanjiang City Second Detention Center. During the detention period, the "educator" (whose surname is Yang) told me that there is a person called Zhang Qinghe who killed his mother and stabbed his sister. It was said that he practiced Falun Gong. I firmly told Yang: "That is absolutely impossible. Zhang Qinghe could not be practicing Falun Gong." The person asked me why not. I replied: "Falun Gong practitioners do not kill. We try to be good people. How can we murder people? That person's behavior is not allowed in Falun Gong. Someone must be trying to frame Falun Gong."

I was locked in cell number 6 for a few days, where I met Zhang Qinghe. So I questioned him: "Why do you say you practice Falun Gong? Have you ever practiced it?" He wouldn't answer. I asked him if he had read Zhuan Falun and he said no. I asked him if he knew how to practice the five sets of exercises, and again he said no. After a few days, I knew for certain that Zhang Qinghe does not even know one movement of the exercises, and had never read Zhuan Falun. He is far from being a cultivator who guides himself with the principles of Dafa, looking within oneself for improvement.

Mudanjiang City officials sent people to persuade me to give up cultivation. Reporters also came. They said that as long as I say in front of their television cameras that I will stop practicing, they will release me. I told the officials and reporters the facts; that Zhang Qinghe is pretending to be a Falun Gong practitioner. But they refused to listen. Instead, they kicked me out. The reporters only wanted to record what they needed. The news about Zhang Qinghe had already been put into the Mudanjiang Daily Newspaper a long time ago (August-September 1999). The news became a weapon that was used against Dafa, which had already poisoned many innocent people.

One day, a police officer came, wanting to know who stayed in cell number 6, and they carefully examined my handwriting. Afterwards, I realized that some people with a sense of justice had written a letter to release the news about how Zhang Qinghe was pretending to be a Falun Gong practitioner. They were trying to cover up the truth.

A long time later, I again heard about Zhang Qinghe. The police were scared that Zhang's story would leak out, so they sent Zhang Qinghe to the Hailing City Detention Center.

During the past four years, the media has fabricated countless reports about Falun Gong on TV and in the newspapers. The media in China has become a political weapon under the control of Jiang. By doing so they have harmed others and themselves. I truly hope that more people will awaken to the truth.
