Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Baoguo is being held unlawfully in the Hengyang County Detention Center in Hunan Province. The police are responsible for the gash in his forehead that bled with such force that it could barely be stopped. His life is in immediate danger. Lei Zhenzhong, the head of the security branch team in the Hengyang City Police Department, whose mobile number is 86-13973403003, threatened Zhou's wife that if she leaked the details of her husband's persecution, their daughter would be thrown into prison. Falun Dafa practitioner Chen Xiangrui, who was arrested at the same time with Mr. Zhou, has already died from police brutality. At 3:00 p.m. on March 20, police broke into the home of Falun Dafa practitioner Wei Yanjiang, located in the Zinc Factory, and abducted four practitioners including Wei Yanjiang, Li Yuxian, Li Lianfang, and Zhang Minjie. In addition, all Falun Gong materials in Wei's home were confiscated. Although Li Yuxian managed to walk away with righteous thoughts, the other three practitioners are still being held in the Huludao City Detention Center. They have entered the eighth day of a hunger strike, and their lives are in imminent danger.

Shang Kunfeng was forced out of his home in July 2001 for continuing to practice Falun Dafa. Although he had no place to live and had to move from place to place to avoid arrest, he continued to do righteous deeds by maintaining righteous thoughts. At the beginning of 2003, he was unlawfully arrested in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Gong Guowei, male, 50 years old, is a farmer from Zhuanghe City. He was arrested because he went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong and was thrown into the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center. In July 2000, the police tied his head down and bound his arms behind his back for three days. The sweat that poured off of him formed a pool on the cement floor. He refused to give up practicing his belief in Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance, so the police officers pulled his hair and smashed his head against the wall. Later he was transferred to the Dalian Forced Labor Camp where more brutal persecution was carried out. In March 2001, secret orders from higher authorities began a round of "violent transformations" of Falun Gong practitioners. Four police officers, each holding an electric baton, beat on one practitioner at a time. They would strip the practitioners completely and apply electricity to vital and sensitive body parts such as the genitals, palms, the arches of the feet, and the ears. Some officers even pushed practitioners into water after stripping them, beating them in the water with the charged electric batons.

In January of this year, Yu Aiping was resting in her own home when the police opened her door with a universal key and abducted her to the No. 1 Detention Center in Hengyang City. She was forced to engage in heavy labor for over a dozen hours every day. She was severely beaten whenever she failed to complete the unreasonable amount of work assigned by the police. The police abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Qi Meiying, female, from Qidong County in Hengyang City, in March of this year. Her whereabouts remain unknown.

Yang Huizhou, a 46-year-old male, was an employee of the Shijiazhuang Fertilizer Factory. He was arrested in August 2001 for telling the public the facts of Falun Gong. He received an unlawful 7-year prison term from the Chang'an District Court in Shijiazhuang City. He is being held in the Baoding Prison in Hebei Province.

On March 5, police officers from the Fushun City Police Department, the Qingyang County Police Department, and the Xinglong Police Station arrived at Wang Xiuxia's home under the pretext of verifying her residence papers. Wang Xiuxia was not at home. The officers took the younger sister of Wang's husband to the police station and harassed her for over two hours. The following day, March 6, the police returned to Wang Xiuxia's home and tried to coerce her family into providing information about her.

It should be noted that another brainwashing session is scheduled to start in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, on April 1.

Xu Zhihai, male, over 30 years old, was an employee in a branch office of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. His wife was an employee of the Bureau of Air Traffic Control in the Northeast China Civil Aviation Administration of China. Mr. Xu and his wife persevered in practicing Falun Dafa and as a result were both expelled from work. They have moved from place to place for the past three years. Their son was only 8 months old when they were first forced to leave their home. The Jiang regime, however, did not forget about them. After 3:00 p.m. on February 17, Xu Zhihai was riding a bicycle on the street when Police Officer Li, in plainclothes from the Chang'an Police Station, recognized Xu and abducted him. He is currently being held in Bakeshu Detention Center.

Around noon on June 27, 2000, a total of nineteen Falun Gong practitioners were unlawfully arrested for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. They were escorted back to Dalian City by police officers stationed in Beijing and thrown into the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center. Within two hours, officers started conducting body searches. 400 Yuan was taken away from Wang Ping of Zhuanghe, 300 Yuan from Guan Yanmei (female), and 300 Yuan from Gong Liming (female). When Ms. Gong was later sent back to the rehabilitation center, the 1000 Yuan she carried in her waist was also confiscated.
