Daqing City Police's Fabricated Evidence Leads to Long Prison Term for Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Jing

March 27, 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Jing is an employee of Daqing City Planning Department. In October 2002, the Dongan Police Station officer Zhang Tao (now transferred to Sartu District Xinxing Police Station), Zhu Ming and others followed her. Zhang Jing was illegally detained since she had Dafa truth-clarification materials with her.

Zhang Jing continued practicing Falun Dafa while in the detention center, which made the police in the Dongan Police Station and Sartu District Police Department furious. Together they inflated the number of copies of found Dafa materials from 200 to 700, in order to give her a longer sentence. After Zhang Jing's illegal trial on January 4, 2003 by Sartu District Court, Zhang Jing's mother-in-law and husband repeatedly reported the fact that the police faked evidence to the Daqing City Political and Judiciary Committee, City Police Bureau, City and District Court and Prosecutor. None of the above local government bodies listened to their appeal, and Zhang Jing was sentenced to four years in prison, despite the strong objection from her family. In February 19, she was sent to Harbin City Women's Prison.
