(Clearwisdom.net) It has been a number of days since I read the article published on Clearwisdom Net on December 5, 2002, "Jiang Zemin Fails to Respond to Genocide Lawsuit and the Chinese Foreign Ministry denies existence of the lawsuit, but back-pedals when pressed by reporters." (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2002/12/5/29404.html) As time went by, I felt the urgency of discussing this issue with fellow practitioners.

From this news we can see that Jiang and Luo have always tried to cover up the existence of such a lawsuit. In view of their nature and their behavior over the past three years, it's not hard to see that they would use all diplomatic and other means to bargain with the U.S. government, in an attempt to interfere and obstruct the progress of this lawsuit. As a Dafa practitioner, I have thought about the following issues from a Dafa perspective:

1. In order to continue their persecution until the very end, the old forces will try their utmost to protect Jiang and the "610 Office"

The lawsuit against Jiang and the "610 Office" is directly destroying the arrangement of the persecution continuing as long as the old forces exist, so it's very powerful. For this reason, the Jiang and Luo group of political scoundrels controlled by the old forces will try everything to cover up the existence of this lawsuit. Their nature also dictates that they will use all kinds of underhanded methods, through diplomatic channels and other means, to obstruct the progress of this case. As Fa-rectification disciples, we should not overlook it or deal with it for its own sake, nor should we forget the fundamental purpose of this case, which is to oppose the persecution, eliminate the evil and to save people with the truth.

2. Fully Grasp the Opportunity to Eliminate the Evil

In order to protect Jiang and the "610 Office," the old forces have to use much of their strength, even as they are weakening. Since they insist on carrying out their arrangements that go against the universal principles, we can turn it around and use this opportunity to greatly reduce the evil substances in the cosmos that interfere with Fa-rectification and attempt to destroy humanity. This is also breaking away with the old forces' arrangements so that they cannot bring more harm to people.

3. Righteous Thoughts and Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts

The reason why Dafa practitioners can assist Master in Fa-rectification and in saving people is because we have righteous thoughts that we obtained through Dafa cultivation. At the same time, we also have some remaining human notions. They may be helpful when we validate the Fa and clarify the truth among people, but if we don't handle them well, our human side could easily control us. We would even accept the interference by the old forces, which would further reduce the effect of our efforts in Fa-rectification. That is why, as Dafa practitioners, it is extremely important that we constantly judge ourselves by the Fa and look at things with righteous thoughts.

My personal understanding is that looking at things with righteous thoughts and sending forth righteous thoughts are two separate issues. Put simply, righteous thoughts are heartfelt thoughts that conform to the principles of the cosmos and the purpose of Fa-rectification, while sending forth righteous thoughts is using supernormal abilities and the divine powers of the Buddha Fa, commanded by compassion and pure thoughts, to directly eliminate evil beings in other dimensions that stubbornly control bad people to persecute Dafa and Dafa practitioners. Presently, there are also a few evil beings that have directly come to live in the human world to do bad things.

Because practitioners still have human notions, we do not "naturally" look at things with righteous thoughts at all times, so we need to remind ourselves from time to time to strengthen our righteous thoughts, to judge whether something is good or bad, right or wrong with "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", and to direct our thoughts and actions with a pure, righteous and selfless mind. Therefore, we Dafa practitioners should emphasize looking at things as much as possible with righteous thoughts, and when we encounter persecution and vicious interference, we should eliminate it right away with righteous thoughts, save people from the dangerous state of being manipulated, and at the same time reduce our own losses and pressure from the persecution.

It is not difficult to have righteous thoughts once in a while, but it is hard to look at things with righteous thoughts at all times amidst tribulations and confusing situations, and when we are faced with pressure. If we can achieve this, we will not feel powerless or passive when faced with evil. In fact, we will not be confused by any superficial occurrences in the human world and will not depend on any person or anything in the human world. With righteous belief at all times, we will be able to use the power that is able to eliminate all evil to destroy the old forces' arrangements.

This lawsuit requires various groups of practitioners and all other practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the old forces' interference.

4. About Participation as a Whole

The sense of participating as a whole is very important, especially on things that are involved with the overall picture of Fa-rectification. When an important issue comes up, it won't work if nobody cares about it, nor will it be possible for all practitioners to deal with every detail together. In other words, we must form a clear and solid body as a whole, and at the same time we must also avoid an extreme understanding on the concept of "participation as a whole." We shouldn't be concerned with superficial formalities or go to extremes. For example, some issues require all Dafa practitioners to participate, while some only require practitioners to participate as much as they can. Some issues are best dealt with by having some practitioners participate while others help by sending forth righteous thoughts. In this way we can control the overall situation the most effectively.

Sometimes, when faced with the evil's frantic interference and persecution, some practitioners can't help but think, "Let's all take part in this; all practitioners in the world should help by sending forth righteous thoughts." In the past, when I saw appeals like this, I always acknowledged and supported them without a second thought. Recently, though, I realized that the appeal for more practitioners to help sometimes shows a lack of righteous thought in itself, for those practitioners may not have enough confidence in the power of their own righteous thoughts. The appeal itself is very good, for it calls for practitioners to support and make up for each other's shortcomings on a larger scale, but at the same time, every practitioner's powerful and pure righteous thoughts are of critical importance. Master pointed out explicitly in "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A."

5. Taking Control and Being Controlled

Dafa practitioners are playing an active role of rectifying the Fa and saving people. Right now, everything that happens in the world, including the old forces' arrangements, can be used during Fa-rectification to eliminate the evil and clarify the truth. In fact, each incident provides opportunities for deep and thorough truth-clarification. If we grasp the true nature of the issue and are well grounded in Fa-rectification with a clear mind at all times, our righteous thoughts will take control, and all the tricks and arrangements of the old forces will play only minor roles, becoming props and minor roles in the play, and they will serve as negative lessons. During the past three years, there were many examples of our improving as a whole and saving people through the process of destroying the old forces' arrangements.

6. Deeply and Thoroughly Clarify the Truth with Righteous Thoughts and Wisdom

In order for this lawsuit to continue, we need to contact different people to clarify the truth, and what we tell them should also have the effect of rectifying their hearts. For example, we can talk about what Falun Dafa is, facts about Jiang, the "610 Office" and this persecution; we can tell them who we are and why we are doing this. We can also talk about the benefits of this lawsuit's success, and what it will mean to society as a whole in both China and the United States. All of this needs to be clearly and properly addressed. Moreover, when we are faced with questions such as "whether this will harm the diplomatic relationship and friendship between the U.S. and China," only by breaking through human notions and eliminating the old forces' interference directly geared toward our minds with powerful righteous thoughts, can we clarify the truth in a righteous manner and with wisdom.

Every single opportunity is precious because none of them will recur, not to mention the fact that Fa-rectification is in its last stage. Let's remember what Master said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston,"

Let us diligently advance together in all the Fa-rectification work we do and become more mature, fulfill our ancient vows, and live up to the hopes of sentient beings and Master's benevolence.
