Dafa Practitioners Li Baicheng and Lin Hongfei Are Persecuted in Dehui City, Jilin Province

Dafa practitioner Li Baicheng from Guojia Town, Dehui City, Jilin Province, was sent to the local labor camp for a two-year term because he went to Beijing in November 2000 to appeal legally on behalf of Falun Dafa. He was detained in the Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp in Jiutai City, Jilin Province. Li Baicheng remained persistent in his belief, and refused to write the "guarantee" [to stop practicing Falun Dafa]. Because he remained steadfast, his detention was unreasonably prolonged for another four months and he was brutally persecuted by the educator and other evil persons, in violation of the law. Li Baicheng has completed his term of illegal detention in the forced labor camp. However, on March 7, the local government and representatives from the police station of Guojia Town had a meeting with Mr. Li. Li Baicheng did not compromise, and still refused to give up his belief in Falun Dafa. As a result, the evil persons sent Li Baicheng directly to the brainwashing class at the Xinglongshan Agriculture School in Changchun City, where they continue to detain and persecute him.

Dafa practitioner Lin Hongfei of Dehui City was illegally kidnapped by local evil persons in Harbin City on February 21, 2000. He was inhumanely tortured and persecuted. He was beaten until his face was swollen beyond recognition. Even worse, when the local Public Security Bureau asked for his release, the authorities refused to release him. It is said that the Ministry of Security in Beijing has dealt with this incident. During his illegal detention in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun, Mr. Lin went on a hunger strike to protest, and was sent to the hospital of the Labor Re-education Center. After being on a hunger strike for one month, he was released from the Center hospital because of his righteous thoughts. Mr. Lin has been homeless since his release, in order to avoid possible re-arrest and further persecution.
