The Course of My Cultivation in the Fa-Rectification

(Clearwisdom.net) Encouraged by fellow practitioners I decided to write the course of my cultivation amidst Fa-ractification. Please correct me if there is anything improper.

I had just learned to practice Falun Dafa when the persecution began. Because the head of our assistance centre was arrested I decided to go to Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, to report to the government about the situation in our area. From there I took the journey of Fa Rectification.

In October 1999 after returning from Wuhan I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa and was arrested and taken to a detention centre. During the imprisonment other Falun Dafa practitioners and I resolutely resisted the persecution and persevered in studying the works of our Teacher. When the police found out that we had Falun Dafa books they conducted forced body search. To protest we began a hunger strike. Five days later we were all taken back to where we were from by our local police departments and our work units. We had also been illegally fined.

In October 2000, I was forced into a brainwashing class where I did not take the Fa [Law and Principles] as the Teacher, instead followed others and did something that a Dafa practitioner should never do. I wrote a "statement of guarantee." [A statement to acknowledge remorse for practicing Falun Gong and guarantee not to practice Falun Gong again, not to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and never associate with any Falun Dafa practitioners.] When I studied "Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America" I realized the seriousness of cultivation and was determined to redouble my efforts to make it up. I studied the Fa in a serene state while issuing a solemn statement to declare my guarantee statement null and void on Clearwisdom. At the same time, I began to clarify the truth and hand out truth clarifying materials to other people. At the time all the truth clarifying materials were either provided by practitioners from other parts of the country or we had them printed outside our local area, so materials were in limited supply. I still remember, once a practitioner and I carried several hundred copies of truth clarifying materials on our backs and prepared to hand them out in other parts of the country. The rain had just stopped and it was very muddy. By midnight we only given out less than half of the materials and our feet were full of blisters. The other practitioner realized that we should encourage more practitioners to step forward to hand out truth clarifying materials with us. Therefore, we contacted practitioners, shared with them and tried to improve ourselves together in the Fa. As a result, practitioners stepped forward one after another.

With more and more practitioners stepping forward the truth clarifying materials supplied to us was not nearly enough. The establishment of a Dafa material site was imminent. But how? We had no knowledge of how to do this. Learn! At that time we had only one thought; that was to beautify Falun Dafa and inform all of the persecution we Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered. The practitioners pooled their money together and bought a Xerox machine. The Dafa material site for our area had been established. However, we thought that truth-clarifying flyers were not enough and needed to use our wisdom to make a variety of truth-clarifying materials. We made some self-adhering truth clarifying poems. At the same time we bought fabric to make banners. In this way the banners flew high in the southern sky over the River [a region in the lower Yangtze valley, including Southern Jiangsu and Anhui and northern Zhejiang] and truth-clarifying poems appeared in places striking to the eye at vital high traffic areas. Soon, the police were called out to arrest Dafa practitioners. At the end of July 2001 I was illegally arrested. This was because the mentality of accomplishing a task and complacency all came to the surface and I paid less attention to studying the Fa so the evil had taken advantage of my omission. The vicious police broke through my anti-theft gate, seized my Dafa books and put me into the detention centre. I completely negated the persecution and I was released without condition after being held illegally for more than 20 days. Later when Teacher published new article "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples" I was more determined than ever to continue my journey of cultivation.

At the end of December 2001, I found that kind-hearted people in the rural areas did not know anything at all about Falun Dafa. With Teacher's support we overcame all kinds of difficulties and successfully delivered truth-clarifying materials to these people. One day I planned to ride a bicycle to carry several hundred truth clarifying materials to a practitioner's home in another township. However, when I stepped out the door it began to rain heavily. At the moment all kinds of human thoughts came out. However, my righteous thoughts overpowered my human notions very quickly. I realized that righteous thoughts could split a mountain. On my way I clarified the truth to anyone who came along with me and asked them to remember "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", and "Falun Dafa is Good." Before saying good-by to each one of them I would give them truth-clarifying materials and asked them to pass it onto their friends and relatives after reading. They all accepted the materials happily before we parted.

This year I am unable to continue this work because of the evil persecution and I started a small business. Sometimes when I receive fake money I immediately destroy it and then clarify the truth. People all liked to listen. Among them many were students. News spread around and a lot of people came to ask me questions. Because what they had heard or watched was nothing but fabricated lies they never knew that Falun Dafa was so wonderful. I had always followed this one principal while doing business, quality merchandise at rock bottom prices. So the business was booming. Of course the main reason for them coming to me was that they also had a side that was aware and this side was eager to learn the truth. A lot of time when I clarified truth with them they would say why you didn't tell us earlier.

Being in business for myself it was easier to manage my time. I took full advantage to do Fa rectification work. During that time I visited almost all of the townships in my area. A lot of things happened to me that showed the power of righteous thought. The authorities tried very hard to persecute me but did not succeed. They even tried to run a brainwashing class but failed. I was followed for more than half a year. However every time I went out to rectify the Fa I managed to throw them off.

During the Party' 16^th Congress in 2002, the evil perpetrators were afraid that I might go out to appeal for Falun Gong so they kidnapped me. Five or six policemen beat me up and fractured my leg. They carried me to the police car and sent me to the detention centre. I exposed the evil persecution and clarified the truth that "good and evil always have consequences" while looking inside to see if I had any weak points that the evil had taken advantage of. At the same time I completely negated the old forces' arrangements and did not cooperate with the evil and went on a hunger strike. As a result, I walked out of the detention centre nobly and righteously. Now I have been forced to become homeless to avoid being arrested.
