(Clearwisdom.net) The fact that a lawsuit has been filed against Jiang Zemin in a United States District Court is by now a foregone conclusion. The lawsuit against Jiang has become a breakthrough point to expose the evil persecution in China and to clarify the truth. A group of Dafa practitioners overseas have been busy around the clock to make sure that relevant information for this case is being sent in a timely manner to various governments, the media and the general public.

On the other hand, the way we eliminate the evil by filing a lawsuit against Jiang is obviously different from that time in Texas when we gathered together to eliminate the evil as one body. Looking at this situation and taking into consideration the participation of overseas Dafa practitioners in this case in the last few months, as a whole, we seemed to be rather slow and hesitant. Without advice from others, we were at a loss, not knowing how to make use of this lawsuit to clarify the truth. Yet, we do not have time to waste. Through Fa-study and sharing, we realized that we were obstructed by an invisible notion, which is "We do not know the law."

Let us look at some key points in this lawsuit from at the standpoint of everyday people.

First of all, is Jiang guilty? According to moral principles of the law, everyone is equal before the law. The victims have the right to sue the offenders, and the guilty ones must be held accountable for the crimes they have committed. If Jiang were not guilty, he would not fear to defend himself in court. Jiang claims the lawsuit against him would harm Sino-America relations. It follows then that the only reason for such a statement would be that Jiang knows that he will lose the case. Such pressure from Jiang itself, threatening that Sino-American relations would suffer, reflects his cowardly nature.

Second, the founding spirit of safeguarding human rights and world order bestowed upon the U.S. and other free countries is as incompatible with Jiang's dictatorship as fire and water. He abuses his dictatorial power to persecute kind and innocent people. As for the U.S, the long-term benefits for the country lies in her safeguarding the founding principles of their nation, safeguarding their value of human rights and safeguarding their leading position to protect human rights in the world. Should the U.S. give up these principles, she would lose her true essence of being the U.S., an equivalent to losing her proper, significant role and status on the world stage. In other words, it is due to her valuing human rights and her leading position in upholding justice that the U.S. is being what she is.

Safeguarding the founding principles of the U.S. and her values of human rights coincides with the long-term interests of the Chinese people.

In addition, the Sino-American relationship is not a relationship between Jiang and the U.S. The Chinese people are not Jiang's people, and China is not Jiang's private property. Jiang can neither represent the Chinese people, nor does he represent China, or the future of China. Hu Jintao is the current president of China, and Jiang no longer enjoys immunity as a head of state.

Furthermore, the lawsuit against Jiang and his accomplices filed in the U.S is not alone, as courts in Europe and Canada have already accepted similar lawsuits. It is probable that more countries will follow their in their footsteps.

From the perspective of Fa-rectification, why do Dafa practitioners who are not working in the legal sector feel that they cannot clarify the truth around this lawsuit? Is it because of the unfamiliar legal details?

It is obvious that there is a problem with our way of thinking. Master said in "Lunyu,"

Dafa practitioners validate the Fa to save sentient beings, and we all do this with our heart. In other words, we do this with our righteous thoughts towards the Fa. We all know that there is no such differentiation and division of work that those who study physics can only validate the Fa from the perspective of physics, those who study biology can only expose the evil from the angle of biology, and those specializing in literature can only clarify the truth from a literary viewpoint. Before the arrival of the mighty current of Fa-rectification, what Dafa practitioners are doing should surpass all areas of disciplines and all boundaries of knowledge. We can do this because we are Dafa practitioners, not because we are experts or scholars in a particular field among everyday people.

To validate the Fa, we should rectify all incorrect thoughts and notions in people's hearts towards Dafa, including incorrect thoughts in our own minds. When we deviate from the principles of the Fa, we could be influenced by everyday people's notions and would fall within the ignorance of everyday people, and we would be unable to do anything we should do well in Fa-rectification. If I have such a notion and others also have a similar thought, with many thinking this way, a bad energy field would form. If we all deviate from the requirements of Fa-rectification, we would not only obstruct ourselves, but also obstruct many others from participation to clarify the truth around the lawsuit against Jiang.

On April 14, the plaintiffs' attorney provided the court with documents of crimes committed by defendant Jiang and by the "610 Office," as well as evidence for the legal procedure for this lawsuit. After that, certain U.S. government officials are going to prepare and submit to the court documents supporting their viewpoints. The judge has set the deadline for submitting their supporting documents on around May 8. Four to six weeks after that day, according to the documents presented by plaintiff's attorney and the officials from the U.S. government, the judge will make decision if the lawsuit will enter the judicial, procedural phase, to try the defendant.

It is up to us whether we can cherish and make good use of this precious period of time between now and May 8 and, based on this case, extensively and thoroughly clarify the truth to all social levels in the world. What we do will play a crucial role in guiding the next step in this case. Only Dafa practitioners can validate Dafa during this period of time. If we passively wait for or depend on everyday people to see the light by themselves, or wait for or depend on a few legal experts, we would likely give the evil forces a loophole to take advantage of, and we would leave a mark of historical regret. We therefore hope more practitioners can make a timely jump to understand Fa principles and use righteous thoughts and actions to treat this Fa-rectification opportunity that history has placed before us.

As with the rescue of Charles Li, this case can only succeed when we are have become broadminded to the greatest possible extent. Through the incident of rescuing Charles Li, we extensively clarify the truth and save people. When we make the truth known to people on a broader level, and people clearly see the evil, the persecution of individual practitioners related to that broader level certainly wouldn't continue to exist.

Not long ago, Dafa practitioners in Canada clarified the truth to the governments and the media, based on the lawsuit against Jiang and at the same time made use of the implication case of Ms. Wang Yuzhi's family members as evidence of the persecution. These efforts brought good results. This is merely one recent, successful example of clarifying the truth, from the standpoint of both the overall situation and also regarding fundamental issues.

By contrast, if we forget the fundamental issues of clarifying the truth while working with the media, with the government, through rescue efforts and are involved in operations on the level of everyday people, and if we turn around the particular details, we would then fall into the trap of the old forces' arrangements. We would then place ourselves on the same level as everyday people doing things. We would strive for a particular result in this case, rather than for the fundamental issue of saving sentient beings. We would then not be able to ascertain the key points for truth clarification, be afraid that the people can't accept what we have to tell them, and other issues. We would be entangled in some unavoidable technical problems often occurring in everyday people's work.

We therefore understand that in the face of difficulties, we must keep studying the Fa well, so that we can build up our righteous thoughts and do things to the best of our abilities. Rules in everyday people society should not be obstacles for us to clarify the truth. What we mean from "conforming to the state of everyday people" is not that we use the state of everyday people to hinder us in what we need to do, but that we make it easier for everyday people and helps them best to understand the truth. If "conforming to the state of everyday people" obstructs everyday people to understand us, it would mean that we did not do well to offer salvation to people, and we need to emphatically clarify the truth where obstacles have occurred.

Actually, our lawyers have done much work. They clearly explained Jiang's criminal facts in the lawsuit documents and what the lawsuit is based on. The documents have paved a smooth path for other Dafa practitioners to clarify the truth. Through carefully reading the documents, we are absolutely capable to use those facts to thoroughly clarify the truth of the persecution to different circles in society.

Breaking through the notion of blindly admiring or blindly being scared of the U.S. legal system is the basis for understanding and helping the flawless process of the lawsuit against Jiang and the requirements for participating in Fa-rectification cultivation.

This, however, does not mean to break through something of everyday people, but to break through barriers in our own minds, and to get rid of our everyday people's notions from our minds through cultivation.
