On October 8, 2002, the police arrested Zhang Qingming at a Dafa material production site. On April 8, 2003, the court illegally tried him. On April 12, they delivered the verdict to his family showing that he had been sentenced to 10 years in prison and deprived him of his political rights for 3 years. The so-called open trial was in fact a purely illegal secret trial where there was no defence attorney, no audience, and no family members were informed. The front windows were shut tightly.

About a month ago, the police illegally arrested Xin Minduo at a Dafa material production site. In the prison, the police brutally tortured and beat him and now his life is in critical condition.

In Octorber 2002, the authorities in Laiwu illegally sentenced Wang Junsheng to 10 years in prison in Jinan. The person mainly responsible for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners in Laiwu Iron and Steel Company is Jiao Yuqi: 86-13963490928 (cell)

Because Zhao Liming firmly persists in practicing Falun Gong, the police at Shandong Second Forced Labor Camp (Wangcun Forced Labor Camp) have been severely torturing him. The Vice-Head of his squad Sun Fengjun, police officers Liu Guowei and Liu Yonggang ordered inmates including Jiang Ning, Wang Fengxiao, and Guo Hongliang to viciously pinch his nipples until they became swollen, pinch his ribs, painfully press the acupuncture points in his back, and tape his mouth so that Zhao Liming could not breathe. Zhao was in shock for more than five hours and the camp had to transfer him to the 148 Hospital in Zibo for rescussitation.

Now, the police in this labor camp escalated their persecution of Dafa practitioners. They forced practitioners to get up at 4:30 a.m. to work. The practitioners have no time to rest, think, speak, or contact other practitioners and they are not be able to sleep until after 10:30 p.m.

Since September 26, 2002, the police have been illegally detaining ten female practitioners in a welfare courtyard located at the northern suburb of Kaifeng. They are: Yao Peimin (49 years old), Li Surong (66 years old), Xin Chunting, Xue Zhenhong (50 years old), Yu Huifang (49 years old), Gou Xinmin (50 years old), Meng Fanli (60 years old), Li Zhenying (58 years old), Du Xuan (59 years old), and Yuan Xiuying (58 years old).

On April 26, 2003, practitioners Zhang Zhijie, Xu Suzhi (female), and Tian Sufen (female) from Changlinggou Village in the Town of Taijitun, Lianshan District went out together to post Dafa materials. The patrol police from the Town of Taijitun arrested them and sent them to Lianshan District Detention Center. In that evening, the police ransacked the three pradctitioners' homes. They took Teacher's pictures, Dafa books and materials.

On the evening of April 30, 2003, the personnel from the Shehong County "610 Office" arrested Xiao Kaiquan, about 70 years old, for distributing Dafa materials. ["610 Office" is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.] They also confiscated his personal property.

On November 16, 2002, the police from Baihu District Police Station in Chenzhou led several police from other stations and personnel from the local residential committee to destroy a Dafa material production site and arrested all the practitioners making Dafa materials. The police have been torturing and beating the practitioners. The practitioners are currently being held at Chenzhou City Detention Center, Guiyang County Detention Center, and Zixing City Detention Center. The police have handed the practitioners' paper work to the procurator.

From March 1, the authorities in Chang'an District established a brainwashing center on the fifth floor of Shijiazhuang Coking Plant. We are not clear about how many practitioners are being persecuted there.
