The Dayi County Detention Center in Chengdu City brutally tortured Falun Dafa practitioners who were on a hunger strike to protest the persecution at the end of 2002. They were tortured by being force-fed water mixed with chili oil. Two practitioners choked to death from being force-fed chili water. To cover up their crime, the detention center immediately coerced the criminal inmates into making false statements. One of the practitioners tortured to death was called "Liao Liang." The details have yet to be investigated.
