Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in Jilin City, Liaoning Province

On October 5, 2000, Ms. Guo Yanhua, who lived on Dongjuzi street in Jilin City, Liaoning Province, was sent to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City for three years of forced labor.

In early spring of 2002, Shao Huiyou of Huadian city, Jilin province, walked out of Yinmahe forced labor camp, Jutai City in an open and dignified manner by remaining completely righteous. In July, he was kidnapped at a Dafa materials production site in Jilin City; his whereabouts are unknown to this day.

Sun Yuxiang of Jilin City, an elderly woman of 63 years, went to Beijing to validate the Fa in 2000. Ms. Sun was arrested in Tiananmen Square, then illegally sentenced to a forced labor camp for two years and fined 1000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan]. At Heizuizi forced labor camp in Changchun city, she was deprived of sleep consecutively for three days and nights, and tortured until her body and mind became frail. Following this, she was sent home to serve her sentence outside the camp under house arrest. Since Sun Yuxiang refused to renounce Falun Gong and the principle of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance, and refused to write the "guarantee statement" to stop practicing Falun Gong, she was forced into a homeless situation in order to escape further persecution.

At approximately 1:00am on May 2^nd 2003, when Guo Yunqing was preparing to hand out truth-clarification material with another practitioner, Mr. Guo was kidnapped by 7 or 8 police, and about 400 truth-clarifying CDs along with several hundred copies of Dafa materials were confiscated. Guo Yunqing is currently being detained at No.3 detention center at Changchun city. The policemen that arrested Guo were from Chanba police station of Jilin province.
