Some Thoughts on the Variety of Forms of Interference from the Old Forces By a Dafa practitioner from Australia
(Clearwisdom.net) Along with the Fa-rectification progressing deeper and
deeper, the time that's left for us to save sentient beings is also becoming
more and more pressing, and yet there are still so many beings in the vast
cosmos waiting for us to save them. During this process, Dafa practitioners have
been using all kinds of ways to help the public to learn about the truth,
reflecting the wisdom of Dafa practitioners and their future mighty virtue.
However, the old forces are also trying all kinds of things to prevent Dafa
practitioners from saving these precious lives, and their tactics have also
become more and more devious. Many of them are in fact taking advantage of our
practitioners' own notions and attachments. Therefore, it has become more
difficult to make a breakthrough in Fa-rectification. Recently, many
practitioners find that it is quite easy to resolve external issues, and yet, we
tend to exhaust ourselves over the divergence of views among ourselves. The
following is an analysis on a few common forms of interference:
Lacking righteous thinking and
always thinking about negative effects whenever we come across difficulties
Practitioners being attached to the
attachments of other fellow practitioners, causing interference to truth
clarification The old forces can see very clearly each practitioner's attachments. After
years of cultivation, many practitioners still have various attachments that
they find hard to let go of from time to time. If when a practitioner who
still has personal attachments puts forward a suggestion or organizes a large
scale Fa promotion activity, many others, instead of thinking about the
suggestion from the perspective of the Fa to see if it would be beneficial to
Dafa, are obstructed by the attachments this practitioner still has. They
judge the suggestion based on this practitioner's attachments. Then, they
cannot view the suggestion objectively and tend to become attached to the
attachments of others. This is not rational. As for fellow practitioners'
attachments, we can talk with them in person based on the Fa principles, and
as for their suggestions, we should consider them only from the perspective of
the Fa, instead of focusing on other practitioners' attachments and forgetting
our mission. The reason is very simple, yet in
practice, very often our own human notions interfere with us. What is shown on
the surface level is that we do not show any interest in the suggestions put
forward by practitioners whom we think still have human notions and
prejudices, and we tend to ignore them and be indifferent towards their ideas.
We do not think carefully about what they say, or ask someone else who has no
interest in the suggestion to take over the responsibility. Because we are
Dafa practitioners doing Dafa work, not everyday people doing Dafa work, the
amount of attention and care that practitioners show, either those involved or
those not directly involved, as well as the state they are in will have a
direct bearing on the outcome. If we have an impure heart, then more often
than not, we cannot do it as well as we wish. On a more in-depth level, every
Dafa practitioner is walking towards his or her Consummation, so when a
practitioner puts forward a suggestion or a project, it may very well be that
this is what the Fa requires him to do. Even though he still has certain
xinxing problems, we should offer our help with compassion instead of
rejecting them or pushing them away. The true compassion of practitioners is
not the same as keeping on good terms with one another like everyday people;
instead, it is shown by our sincerity and kind understanding towards others,
the kind tolerance we demonstrate in the face of other practitioners'
mistakes, as well as our trust in fellow practitioners that they will be able
to cultivate well. This in fact requires us to relinquish everyday people's
emotion so that we will not look at things from the angle of everyday people.
Improving as a whole is mistakenly
understood as unifying our thinking The manifestation of this problem is very hard to perceive. When some
events occur, there are always some practitioners who do not consider first
how to make use of the event to clarify the truth and to save more sentient
beings. Instead, they suggest that it's an opportunity for us to improve as a
whole and then try to unify our understandings of the event. This is stressing
unity on the surface, and not going along the same general direction under the
guidance of Fa principles in a variety of ways. Those practitioners'
suggestion sounds very reasonable, but in fact it's very dogmatic and unwise.
It doesn't accord with the principle of cultivation and has embedded in it
many notions formed in the human world.
Dafa practitioners come from different realms and systems. Therefore, their
ways of thinking are much different, and their ways of validating Dafa may be
different as well. Of course, our goal is the same. Under the same general
goal, we have manifested our individual divine power and accomplished so many
magnificent deeds by volunteering, cooperating, and coordinating among us. It
is indeed the manifestation of the mighty power of the Fa. If we only focused
on our own improvement, we would deviate from the foundation and create
interference. Reflected on the surface is this mentality: "It doesn't matter
whether the work to validate the Fa is done well or not, because improving
ourselves from it is the most important." As a matter of fact, if we truly do
the work out of an unselfish and pure heart, we will naturally do it well and
at the same time, everyone within the body will improve from their own
standpoint. There would not be any such situation where everyone has improved
from it but the work to validate the Fa has not been done well. Because our standpoint has shifted,
we would always tend to discuss our improvement, individual attachments, and
individual opinions. In the end, we find that the truly important work to
clarify the truth was not done in time. Then we would tell fellow
practitioners not to be attached to the issue itself, and that the most
important thing is to give up our attachment to the matter and improve
ourselves. Such episodes have happened many times, and we have left many
things undone that could have been accomplished, and we have missed many good
opportunities that could have been well utilized. We didn't do what we should
do, which, from the viewpoint of the Fa, only makes the old forces happy, not
Master. Yet we thought we had improved from it. Indeed it is another form of
interference from the old forces. It has a bearing on the attachments of some
fellow practitioners who tend to go to extremes and become attached to
experience sharing.
Putting excessive emphasis on
specific details in the project, causing the whole project to be given up as a
result
There is a way of thinking among everyday people, which is to give careful
consideration to all the details. This way of thinking has severely obstructed
practitioners in that when an incident occurs, too much time is wasted on
thinking about details, and those fellow practitioners involved would bring up
many specific concerns and doubts, thus further influencing other fellow
practitioners. This often led to many good suggestions getting very little
positive response, and with our righteous belief shaken. There have been many
such instances. As a matter of fact, we are creating trouble for ourselves, and
we are using human notions to block our divine wisdom. Master said in a poem,
"Tranquil but think not----Mystical wonders will come out." [From "In the Dao",
Hong Yin, un-official translation] Sometimes, the divine wisdom that
comes out is very simple -- straight into our minds without deep thought. When
we get bogged down in too many specific details, we will find difficulties one
after another like a net that entangles us. The only way to solve the problem is
to let go of all the worries and concerns, to study the Fa with a calm mind,
then reconsider the matter anew. What we see then will be true wisdom. The above points are only a summary from what I have observed in practice.
There are more tactics utilized by the old forces that we need to break through
with a calm mind. If we cannot distinguish them, the old forces will take
advantage of us at any moment without our noticing it. In Fa-rectification,
there are criteria to measure every being. If any obstruction to the progress of
Fa-rectification is caused due to our own individual problems, the sin and karma
generated is also very large.
