North Carolina: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Asian Festival in Charlotte (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net May 14, 2003) The annual Asian festival is an important event in Charlotte. During the festival, Asian descendants, including important officials, non-governmental organizations and even officials from the closest Chinese Consulate come to join the celebration.

As usual, Falun Gong practitioners in North Carolina prepared in advance to participate in the event. Many practitioners drove here from nearby cities ahead of time. We have only one wish: Comprehensively clarify the truth to people and let more people know about Falun Dafa.

The celebration started at 10 am. Some practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and others distributed truth-clarifying materials. The entire booth was filled with a peaceful and solemn atmosphere. The temperature was as high as 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Practitioners systematically organized everything. When practitioners sat in lotus position and sent forth righteous thoughts, a person at a neighboring booth who practiced another type of qigong expressed that he did not understand it. Practitioners patiently explained it to him and helped him to fix the problem with his power supply, which left a good impression of Dafa on the people in that booth.

Practitioners also took the initiative to visit the Chinese Consulate's booth, talk with the officials and help them to learn about Falun Dafa. This was also the first time that practitioners clarified the truth face to face to officials from the Chinese Consulate.

After the celebration, practitioners conducted a press conference outside the City Hall and held a candlelight vigil.

From this activity, practitioners improved their understandings of the Fa.
