Colorado Dafa Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day, Thank State Assembly For Its Resolution Condemning Jiang Regime's Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net May 18, 2003) On May 13, 2003, Colorado Dafa practitioners gathered in Central Park in front of the State Capitol and celebrated World Falun Dafa Day.

At around 10:00 am, the Dafa practitioners set up a booth in the park and started demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises. The graceful rhythm and the slow, smooth hand gestures left the passersby with a beautiful image.

At 10:30 am, the Dafa practitioners held a press conference. Mr. Kerry briefly introduced Falun Dafa in Colorado and talked about the Jiang regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong. Mr. Kerry expressed appreciation to 24 state assembly members for their sponsorship of Resolution 1013, which was passed in the assembly on May 7. The resolution condemned the Jiang regime's brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners and expressed concern about the arrest of US citizen Charles Li in China.

Mr. Frank Weddig, a house member and main sponsor of the Falun Gong resolution, made a brief speech during the press conference. He condemned the Jiang regime's atrocities and called upon everyone to work together to stop the persecution. Later, a couple of other house members also made speeches to offer their congratulations on World Falun Dafa Day. The Chairman of Friends of Falun Gong at the University of Denver delivered a speech.

Finally, everyone shared a cake especially ordered for World Falun Dafa Day.
