(Clearwisdom.net May 19, 2003) Two Swedish Falun Gong practitioners are music teachers and although they live in different cities, they both share the same wish: to bring the wonder of Dafa to every school in Sweden. One is a dance teacher in Arvika, a city located in the west of Sweden, and the other is teaching musical composition for the classical guitar in the northern city of Kiruna. After more than a month's preparation and with strong support from the Swedish Bureau of Education, the two teachers began to travel around Sweden to perform "The Story of Lotus" at different schools.

"The Story of Lotus" is a drama performance that combines dance, music and poetry. The lotus was chosen because of its characteristics: it grows out of mud but is able to maintain its purity without becoming contaminated. This is similar to Falun Dafa practitioners' strong determination to return to their original, true selves. The dance is also intended to expose the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang's regime in China.

On May 5 2003, "The Story of Lotus" opened in Sweden's third largest city, Malmo. The performance received a warm welcome from the schools in that area.
