Pennsylvania: Falun Gong Practitioners Invited to Participate in Second Asia Cultural Festival in Philadelphia (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net May 19, 2003) At 4:00 pm on May 10, 2003, the Pennsylvania Asian Association held its second Asia Cultural Festival in downtown Philadelphia to help the public better understand the ancient Asian culture, traditions and arts, and to encourage Asian Americans to be united and work together to create a more harmonious and cooperative community.

Pennsylvania Governor Rendell and Philadelphia Mayor John Street sent congratulatory letters respectively, and praised the contributions of Asian communities to American society, culture and economy. Mr. John F. Domzalski, Health Commissioner, Department of Public Health, Philadelphia came to the celebration.

After speeches from the guest speakers, the Falun Gong practitioners' performance started the Asian Traditional Culture Program. The practitioners' serene, gentle and peaceful exercise demonstration exhibited the grace of Falun Dafa to the diverse audience.

After the demonstration, many people came to request Dafa information. The practitioners took the opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa to government officials, those in charge of the Asian Association and members of the audience, and exposed the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Many people expressed their sympathy and support.
