Mr. Li Qisheng, 70, was a resident of Baiguoshu Village, Jiulong Town,
Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province. After he took up the practice of Falun Dafa,
his health improved dramatically.
In October 2000, Mr. Li went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. He was arrested
and taken back to the Jiulong Town Police Station. During the several days he
was detained there, he was beaten and cursed at by the police. Then he was
transferred to a detention center, where he was held for 15 days. Afterwards,
the Jiulong Town Police Station detained him again. After enduring severe
torture, this 70-year-old gentleman was extremely weak. Not wanting to take the
responsibility should he die, the Jiulong Town Government sent him home. Several
days after Mr. Li returned home, his condition worsened, and he passed away.
