Brutally Torture Dafa Practitioners by Beating, Force-feeding and Hanging up by
the Handcuffs The tortures used by lawless policemen in Gongzhuling City's Detention Center
to persecute Dafa practitioners include: verbal and physical abuse, brutal
beating, force-feeding, hanging up by the handcuffs and prohibiting to see a
doctor unless their life is at stake. One of the persecuted Dafa practitioners,
Wang Sheng was tortured so severely he vomited blood and had blood in his stool.
Only when he was at death's door did they allow him to be treated. In Gongzhuling City, Dafa practitioner Zhao Shigang was illegally sentenced
to three years in prison at the beginning of 2003, and Qi Mingjiu was illegally
sentenced to five years in prison. It was reported that they were illegally
detained at Gongzhuling City's Detention Center and were badly abused and
mistreated. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Illegal Arrest of Four Dafa Practitioners On April 20, 2003 when Dafa practitioner Shen Quanhui was shopping at a
market, lawless policemen forcibly abducted him, and he is now detained at Jilin
City's No. 3 Detention Center. At about 11:00 p.m. on May 1, 2003, policemen from the Jiuzhan Housing Rental
Agency in Jilin City illegally arrested Dafa practitioner Guo Zhande, Li Zheng
and another fellow practitioner with the family name Yan. Their whereabouts are
unknown. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Police Illegally Arrest Three Dafa
Practitioners During the night of April 19, 2003, authorities destroyed a Dafa materials
production site and Dafa practitioner Jing Zhixin and Jin Yushan were arrested.
Later on, lawless policemen were staked out outside the Dafa materials
production site. The second day, Dafa practitioner Deng Changhua was kidnapped.
Now they are all illegally detained at Huadian City's Detention Center and have
been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Some Personnel from the Residence
Committee Harass Dafa Practitioners under Instructions from People from the
"610 Office" All residence committees in Shenyang City received instructions from the
"610 Office"* and local street committee offices to go to all Dafa
practitioners' homes to require Dafa practitioners to fill in a form about when
they started to practice Falun Gong and whether they still practice it, and
other improper questions. Then these principals forwarded all the forms to their
superiors. They claim that SARS is important but SARS would not put Falun Gong
on hold. [Yingshan County, Sichuan Province] It Was Reported That Related Departments
Will Illegally Sentence Dafa Practitioner Ma Houqin Between May 13 to May 15,
2003 [Shanghai City] Lawless Police again Arrest Dafa Practitioner Li Wenyu On the afternoon of May 9, lawless policemen again arrested Li Wenyu and his
house was searched. Now he is illegally detained at Songjiang District's
Detention Center. Li Wenyu used to be illegally sentenced to forced labor for
two years and was released in August 2002. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Persecution Accounts After Jiang's regime started the persecution against Falun Gong on July 20,
1999, practitioners from Qianxi County joined together and signed an appeals
letter. The letter ended up in the hands of the government. Many practitioners
were arrested and persecuted. More than 30 practitioners from Qianxi County were
fined. The amount varied from 3,000 to 5,000 Yuan*. The official who received
the money did not issue any receipts and the money was not returned. At the Qianxi County Detention Center, police shocked practitioners with
electric batons, and also force-fed with drugs. The police said. "If you
will not take medicine, then we force-feed you." The police also force-fed
the practitioners who went on a hunger strike. Among the vicious policemen, Liu
Chun used a stick with little pins to beat practitioners' heads. The scene was
too miserable to see. Zhu Zhengang, a policeman from Qianxi County Detention
Center, often verbally abused practitioners. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Arrest of Practitioner Shi Zaihe at Henan
Province's No. 3 Forced Labor Camp in Xuchang City Practitioner Mr. Shi Zaihe, 33 years old, a farmer, was beaten up, detained
two months and fined 2,000 Yuan after he went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for
Falun Gong on October 1, 2000. On January 23, 2001, the local policeman intended
to arrest him and put him into a forced labor camp. Mr. Shi escaped with wisdom. From then on, he was forced to stay away from
home to avoid further illegal persecution. Mr. Shi had to make a living by
working in other cities. In the past two years when the Spring Festival was
approaching, the police from Huanggang Township would break in Mr. Shi's home to
make trouble and attempt to arrest Mr. Shi. In February 2003, after the Lantern
Festival, the local police arrested Mr. Shi's wife, a non-practitioner, as a
hostage to discover Mr. Shi's whereabouts. Mr. Shi's wife was detained 40 days.
The police found the salary receipt that they kept when they were working in
other cities and arrested Mr. Shi. Now Mr. Shi is illegally detained at Henan
Province's No. 3 Forced Labor Camp in Xuchang City. [Liaoning Province] An Attempt to Frame Falun Gong Workers from Dashiqiao City's Yingmei Mine in Liaoning Province went to the
government to ask for their past four months' salaries. As the government did
not pay them, the workers claimed they would commit group suicide by laying on
the train tracks. The police from Dashiqiao and Yingkou City brutally dismissed
the workers. Some vicious policemen took this incident as an excuse to frame
Falun Gong, claiming that practitioners had instigated the workers to make
trouble. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Arrest and Brutal Torture of Practitioner Han
Zhenju At 6:00 a.m. on March 27, practitioner Mr. Han Zhenju heard someone knock on
his door. When he was going to open the door, he saw some people had jumped over
the wall and opened the door. Mr. Han went closer and found the approaching
people were the local policeman Teng Lisheng leading five other policemen,
including Bai Yiru and Zhang from Yongqing County Police Department. As they
broke in, they beat Mr. Han and forcibly packed him into a car. His family came
out to protect Mr. Han and asked the reason for the arrest. The police did not
give any reason but pushed Mr. Han's wife aside, beat Mr. Han's son and wounded
his son's face. Then they drove away in the car. On the same day it became known
that Han Zhenju was sent to Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province. Because Mr. Han is very determined to Dafa, he suffered all kinds of brutal
tortures. After 20 days of a hunger strike, Mr. Han was transferred to Baoding
City Prison and has been detained there till now. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners Li Linong and Ma
Lili At about 6:00 p.m. on May 3rd, when Ms. Li Linong and Ms. Ma Lili went out to
paste up Dafa truth-clarifying materials, they were illegally arrested at the
market at No.255 Hospital. Now their whereabouts are unknown. [Beijing] Arrest of Dafa Practitioner Xu Youlin At about eight o'clock on April 27, 2003, when Mr. Xu Youlin went out to
distribute Dafa truth-clarifying materials, he was illegally arrested. On April
28, police illegally searched his house and confiscated his computer and all
Dafa truth-clarifying materials. It was reported that he was illegally held at
Beijing City's Chaoyang Police Department detention center and later was
transferred to Tong County. At the day of his arrest he got a high fever and
high blood pressure. His family worried about him, but lawless policemen
prohibited his family from visiting him, saying it is because of SARS. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Arrest of Eight Dafa Practitioners Eight practitioners from Wafangdian City, including Ms. Xie Xiuli and Ms.
Zhang Lina, have been illegally detained since March of 2003. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Lawless Policemen Patrol with All Kinds of
Vehicles or Man Stake-outs at Certain Places at Night to Arrest Dafa
Practitioners According to a reliable source, from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. or 4:00a.m the
next day, policemen in Shenyang City patrol with all kinds of vehicles or are
staked out at certain places to arrest Dafa practitioners. Those of you Dafa
practitioners who distribute truth-clarifying materials at night, please pay
attention to your safety! [Midu County, Yunnan Province] The Record of Li Wenhong from the "610
Office" and His Persecution of Dafa Practitioners Li Wenhong, (cell phone: 86-13038620568) used to work in court and was a
secretary for the local government. He claimed when he was in the "610
Office," he spent half of his working time preparing material which was
used to persecute Dafa practitioners. In 2002, he was enrolled in Yunnan
University as an in-service graduated student of the law school. It was reported
that during a classmates' communication meeting, he threatened his classmates,
"Don't practice Falun Gong; otherwise I'll prepare a black list." [Hengyang County, Hunan Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhou Baoguo Is Brutally
Tortured to the Point of Being in Critical Danger Mr. Zhou Baoguo was illegally and secretly detained at Hengyang County
Detention Center by persons from the Hengyang City "610 Office." He
has been brutally tortured and his life is in critical danger. Lawless police
extorted money from his family to bail him out. The World Organization to
Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong is asked to please investigate
this case. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners Zhang Weibo, Sun
Kuijun, Liu Cuiling and Yu Zhongxiu During the night on May 8, Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Weibo, Mr. Sun Kuijun,
Ms. Liu Cuiling and Ms. Yu Zhongxiu were illegally arrested when they clarified
the truth of Falun Gong at Liujiazhuang Town in Jimo City. They were brutally
beaten up and then were sent to Jimo City's Hospital. On May 9, personnel from
Jimo City's Hospital and Pumu Town Hospital in Laixi City illegally searched
these four practitioners' houses and confiscated their cell phones and other
valuables. *"610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute
Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party
and all other political and judiciary systems. **500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China. May 13, 2003
