(Clearwisdom.net May 23, 2003) On May 11th 2003, Falun Gong practitioners in
Guadeloupe, France, held activities to introduce Falun Gong in a park near
Pointe-a-Pitre. Throughout the day, many people arrived at the park to watch the
exercise demonstrations and learn the Falun Gong exercises. Practitioners also
took this great opportunity to introduce the facts about the persecution of
Falun Gong in China to the people of Guadeloupe.
Two TV stations that came to interview the practitioners, and a special
report outlining the main aspects of Falun Gong and the persecution occurring in
China was broadcast on the main evening news. On Monday May 12, this report was
broadcast on a local channel and again on the national channel (RFO) on May
13th. This enabled the people of Guadeloupe to gain a deeper understanding of
Falun Gong, and why practitioners were holding these activities.
