Dafa Practitioner Mr. Wang Gaibian Tortured to Death
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wang Gaibian, 63, was a resident of Tongle Village, part of Datong Town
in Wuan City, which is in Handan Area of Hebei Province. In March 2002, he was
arrested for distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials and detained
at the Wuan Detention Center, and was sent to a labor camp in June. Because
medical examinations indicated that he was very weak, the labor camp refused to
take him. He was therefore taken back to the detention center. Because of the
brutal torture he received, his legs were swollen and he had difficulty
swallowing food. Seeing that he was in critical condition, the detention center
extorted 3000 Yuan from his family and asked them to take him home. Even after
returning home, Mr. Wang still didn't recover, and on April 18, 2003, he passed
away. The people directly responsible for his death are awaiting investigation.
