Introducing Falun Dafa at the Second Indiana "Body, Mind & Spirit Expo" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net May 24, 2003) On May 3-4, 2003, the Second Indiana "Body, Mind & Spirit Expo" was held in the capital city of Indianapolis. More than 60 groups participated, promoting methods conducive to physical and mental well being. Indiana Dafa practitioners once again participated in the activity, introducing the goodness of Falun Dafa and the facts of the persecution in China to more local people. The following were some episodes that occurred during the expo.

During the expo, we held a one-hour talk. Many people arrived at Lecture Hall quite early. A Dafa practitioner first briefly introduced the characteristic, principles and history of Falun Dafa, and emphasized Falun Dafa's extraordinary effect on elevating practitioners' physical and mental well-being and moral standards. After that, we played a short film introducing Falun Dafa to let every attendee have a deeper understanding of Dafa. We then held group exercises. As time was limited, we only taught the first three sets of exercises. Everyone learned carefully and attentively and tried to do every movement correctly and experience Dafa's miraculous effects.

After the lecture, a couple from Kentucky came to our booth. The man told practitioners that he had serious arthritis and could not do intense exercises. Today he tried the gentle and simple Falun Dafa exercises, and felt warm all over his body. He felt very comfortable and wanted to learn more. As he came from another state, the practitioners gave him a Falun Dafa website and asked him to contact local Dafa practitioners.

A five-year-old boy passed our booth and he curiously fixed his eye on the practitioners who were doing the exercises. When a practitioner asked him if he wanted to learn, he happily agreed and also brought his mother and aunt to come to learn together. Though he was young, he learned the exercises so carefully. Many people were attracted to come and look, and also spontaneously followed the practitioners doing the exercises.

When learning about all the benefits of Falun Dafa, many people came to ask the practitioners where they could learn the exercises. The most frequent question they raised was, "It is such a good exercise, you must charge a lot." But contrary to their expectations, all Falun Dafa exercise teachings are free. Seeing their puzzlement, the practitioners explained, "Our purpose is to let the society and people benefit from Falun Dafa. We absolutely don't want to seek any interest from it. If we charge even one cent from you, we are not Falun Dafa practitioners. " The spectators were convinced and they said emotionally, "You are really great!" The practitioner replied solemnly, "It is not me that is truly great, but our Master Li Hongzhi. He teaches us to do so!" People surrounding us exclaimed, "You are so fortunate to have such a great Master!"

Prior to the conclusion of the expo, an American man came to our booth and had a conversation with us. He told us that he had learned about Falun Dafa quite early, though he didn't study it, he knew that Dafa is very good. He was angry at the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Dafa. Finally, he gave us a thumb-up sign, and said, "I believe you will definitely succeed!"
