(Clearwisdom.net May 24, 2003) On May 19, nearly a hundred Dafa
practitioners from around the world participated in the 105th Annual
Victoria Day Parade in the capital of British Columbia. 80,000 people
participated in the celebration activities.
At 9:30 a.m., the parade began. Among more than 170 walking groups that were
participating in the parade, the Falun Dafa procession was especially beautiful
and impressive, adding to the festive atmosphere on Vancouver Island. The weather
was sunny and bright, the atmosphere harmonious and pleasant.
At a little after 10:00 a.m., a gigantic circle suddenly appeared around the
sun. People were amazed and watched the spectacular scene in the sky. The
gigantic circle remained there for about 30 minutes.
Wherever the Dafa practitioners' procession passed, people lining the road
gave them warm applause. The performances of three dance groups including the
Chinese Tang Dynasty Dance Group, the Lotus Flower Dance Group and the Lotus
Flower Lantern Dance Group won the people's appreciation. Some people ran into
the procession and said to practitioners, "You've done so well, thank you." Some
children followed the procession and were reluctant to leave the practitioners.
When the procession passed the main stage, officials on the stage smiled and
applauded, and waved to the practitioners.
Through the parade, Dafa practitioners displayed the beauty of Falun Dafa to
happy spectators. The Falun Dafa Association of Canada won first place in the
walking groups.
