Falun Dafa practitioners in Chicago and surrounding areas held activities in Chicago to support the legal proceedings to bring Jiang Zemin to justice.

This morning Falun Dafa practitioners came to the Federal Plaza in downtown to demonstrate the Falun Dafa exercises to the public. They used photo poster boards to display the brutal crimes Jiang has committed against Falun Dafa practitioners, and they passed out flyers to people passing by, calling for the rescue of American citizen Charles Li and others. In the afternoon, practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago, sending forth righteous thoughts simultaneously with Falun Dafa practitioners around the world, to eliminate any evil factors interfering with these proceedings.

Disciples exchange insight about bringing Jiang to justice, and upgrade understanding as a whole.

We learned that the case to bring Jiang to justice greatly shocked Zhongnanhai (the Chinese government compound). Jiang and his regime have used all sorts of diplomatic means to apply pressure in attempt to persuade the U.S. government to stop the case, promising that "Jiang would pay anything." On April 14, the plaintiff's attorney had finished submitting legal evidence. May 8 is the deadline for the U.S. Justice Department to deliver documents supporting the government's viewpoint (under pressure from Jiang) to the court. In the 4-6 weeks that follow, the Judge will study the material from both sides, and make a decision on whether this case will go to trial.

If the judge decides to bring this case to court, the result is obvious. Solid evidence shows that Jiang and the "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) committed unspeakable crimes against countless Falun Gong practitioners. Jiang knows that he cannot deny any of his crimes. Therefore, it is critical that the case be established.

During this critical period before May 8, Falun Dafa disciples as a whole must focus our efforts to completely clarify the truth and send forth powerful righteous thoughts. The success of this case is directly linked to our great mission of widely saving sentient beings, and depends on whether we can form one great body to walk through this process, and eliminate all loopholes.

Master told us to focus on the "process," and not be attached to the "results." In fact, only if we do well in the "process," can the result be more beneficial to Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings.

Master told us repeatedly that we should do three things well at the present time: study the Fa well, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts. Master showed us the path to follow in bringing Jiang to Justice and how to walk this path during this present critical time by doing these three things.

Currently Falun Dafa disciples are working hard on clarifying the truth to each level of society. Sending materials using the case to bring Jiang to Justice as an example has been very effective. At the same time, keeping powerful righteous thoughts is also very important during the casework, requiring the attention of all Dafa disciples.

Some fellow practitioners think that sending forth righteous thoughts at set times is maintaining strong righteous thoughts. We think this is not enough.

First, Falun Dafa disciples recognize the importance of this case from deep down inside, and sense the importance of maintaining strong righteous thoughts at this time. If we truly understand the importance of bringing Jiang to justice in our hearts, it will be easy to give truth clarification projects top priority. Regardless of how we specifically help, our minds must be on the case.

Secondly, it is important that we firmly believe that Jiang must be brought to justice, and send forth strong righteous thoughts based on this understanding. Master said in his article "Righteous Thoughts": "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation. So, in order to do Fa-rectification more effectively, while you clarify the facts you have to take sending righteous thoughts very seriously, and in a timely manner purge the evil and your own problems so that you won't be taken advantage of by the evil." Master also said in the article "Also in a Few Words": "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." So we should pay more attention to sending forth righteous thoughts at set times, and maintain strong and firm righteous thoughts: Jiang should be brought to justice!

Let us fully utilize this case to bring Jiang to justice, clarify the truth completely, always maintain strong and solid righteous thoughts, and take each step well in this process.
