A Practitioner Gone Astray Suddenly Wakes Up and Sees Clearly the Evil of Jiang's Regime
(Clearwisdom.net reported on April 20) My name is Zhang Yuling. I am 29 years old. I am a
kindergarten teacher, and a college graduate. I was employed at the kindergarten of Dahua Group Co.
at Puyang City, Henan Province. In the middle of July 1999, I went to Zhengzhou Appeal Office to appeal for Falun Dafa. After I
returned home, I was forced by authorities in my workplace to write a "guarantee letter"
to give up practicing Falun Dafa. I was also forced to hand in Dafa materials and to close the
practice site (I was the contact person for my practice site). I was not allowed to go to work and
forced to stay at home to "think about" what I had done. After July 20, 1999, I went to Beijing. I was pregnant. On October 20, I gave birth to a boy with
the help of a caesarean section at Chaoyang Hospital in Beijing. After I was discharged from the
hospital, I phoned my husband. However, along with my husband came the Party Secretary of the
Political and Legislative Commission of Puyang City Sun Ximin, policewoman Yang Na (who disguised
herself as a nurse), the supervisors of the Group Co., and the doctor and nurse of our company.
Since the incisions from the operation were still very painful, I did not agree to go back to Puyang.
They arranged for my mother-in-law to take away my baby and feed him with milk. They also forced my
husband and three other men to push me onto the bed and inject me with an anaesthetic. They took me
back to Puyang in a car. After nearly 12 hours on the bumpy road, I had a massive hemorrhage, and
the sutures from the operation pulled open. Since my baby was allergic to milk, there was a small
rash all over his body. He cried all the way home. After I arrived home, all my books were
confiscated and my husband was not allowed to go to work. Instead he was forced to stay at home to
watch over me and forbid me from practicing the exercises and going out. On the evening of October 30, 1999, I found a chance to leave to go to Beijing again. I took my
son with me. I had just sat down in a restaurant when I was arrested along with other fellow
practitioners. At the Beijing Huilongguan Police Substation, we had no food or water. My son slept
on a wooden board on the cement floor. For three days, I was not able to nurse him since I had no
breast milk. The police took turns trying to brainwash me and threatened that they would send me to
the mental asylum and my son to the welfare house. They also said my son was not mine. They forced
me to take off my pants in front of the male police to show them my incisions. Three days later, I
was sent to the office of the Puyang city station in Beijing. I succeeded in running away. For
almost two months after, my son and I depended on each other and roamed the streets of Beijing. On January 4, 2000, I took my son with me and went back to Puyang. I learned that I had been
dismissed from my workplace. The next day, I was detained at the Dahua Police Substation of our
Group Co. The police set up a mother-and-son cell with steel doors and windows, specifically for us.
The room was dark and damp. As a result, my son suffered from eczema for over four months. For four
months, every night, when we slept, my hands held my son's little hands. Otherwise, my son would
scratch his face and the next morning there would be blood all over his face. During the day, I was
brainwashed with curses and yelled at, trying to convince me to divorce my husband. Every day, a
family member brought me some food. I became the target of my family's anger and anguish. Both my
son and I suffered severely from the curses and beatings. On July 6, 2000, I went home on bail after interrogation. The evening of July 17, I was picked up
and taken to the Puyang City Labor Camp. Since I was still nursing, they did not accept me. The
deputy leader of the Security and Protection Branch Wang Haiqi said: "Bribe the labor camp with
something and ask them to accept her." The policewoman Yang Na said: "I wanted to punish
her long time ago, only she was still nursing." That same night, they secretly rented a room at
Changcheng Hotel and handcuffed me there overnight. The next day, I was sent to the Dahua Police
Substation. They weaned my son from my breast milk. My family also refused to send me meals. I
started a hunger strike and protested against it with my life. Six days later, I was sent home and
the police station assigned a team of eight to keep watch over me. In October 2000, some fellow practitioners and I went to Beijing. I was arrested giving out
truth-clarifying materials in a western train station. Three days later, I was sent back to Puyang. On October 12, 2000, I was sent to the Puyang Labor Camp. The prison guards beat me and cursed me
because I practiced the exercises. I started a hunger strike. On the tenth day of the hunger strike,
they forced the prisoners to push me down onto the bed and force fed me. When they forced the tube
into my stomach, since my nose tunnel was not clear, they purposely twisted the tube around in my
nose. As a result I had a massive hemorrhage. On the first day, they forced fed me with milk. On the
second day, they used water. The director of the camp police station, Zuo, laughed loudly. He said:
"The provincial public security department said that if they do not eat, starve them to death
and send them to the funeral home." Seventeen days later, I was forced to take food. One week later, when the prison guard beat me, I used my hands to ward off the blows. The guard
said that I had beaten her. As a result, she handcuffed me with heavy shackles that weighed over 25
kg for more than 7 days. These were the shackles used for death sentence prisoners (my hands were
handcuffed behind my back with the shackles). Every day I could only lie on my side on the bed. The
prisoners had to help me to use the toilet. I started another hunger strike. The prisoners reported
this to the prison supervisor who replied, "It's ok. She will not die too soon." On December 13, 2000, I was sentenced to three years imprisonment and sent to the provincial
female labor camp. They succeeded in brainwashing me there. On October 16, 2001 when I was released, I was forced to help the evil force to brainwash fellow
practitioners. During this period of time, I witnessed how the police persecuted Falun Gong
practitioners. Something happened on March 2, 2003, which greatly astonished me. The security and protection
branch arrested two Falun Gong practitioners from Handan City, who were distributing Dafa
truth-clarifying materials. They were illegally detained at Puyang City Labor Camp. One of the women
was over fifty years old and named Zhang Xiaoyan. The police asked her to go to the sixth floor of
the Security and Protection Branch and asked me to brainwash her. We talked to each other face to
face for over twenty minutes. At that time, one of her hands was handcuffed to the chair and she
felt great pressure. I stepped out to get her some water. Several seconds later when I went back to
the room, I found that she had just fallen to her death out of the building. The police acted as if
nothing had happened. One of the policemen said: "It's nothing. Don't feel scared. In the other
public security bureaus, there were many deaths in one year. Here we have had only one death in ten
years." At that point I woke up and I declared solemnly that from that point on, I would never do the
so-called "transforming job."
