In March, police from the National Security Bureau arrested Wen Yong while he was visiting his relatives in Baotou City. We hope that practitioners outside China can help to locate him.

Li Bin was unjustly arrested in Xintai City on March 21, 2003. He went on a hunger strike to protest against his unjust detention. Ten days later, he was transferred to the brainwashing class in Linyi City, where he has continued on with his hunger strike. Currently, he is being force-fed every day. It's been over twenty days since he started the hunger strike.

Recently, police in Jining City unjustly arrested four more female practitioners, including Zhao Jing, Guo Ruifeng, and Li Xia. Police are monitoring practitioners' phones including cellular phones, and are monitoring practitioners near their homes.

Many practitioners in Jining City have been sent to mental hospitals, sentenced to jail, sent to forced labor camps or detained. Two practitioners, Liu Xuguo and Wang Chan, were persecuted to death. One of practitioner Zhou Dalin's family members was so terrified of the threats he received that he died.

Practitioner Li Jinying (female), Wang Xiuyun (female), Du Shuhui (female) and Zhang Qingzhong were reported on and later were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials in Nanzhao County in April of 2002. Police from the Nanhedian Police Substation illegally confiscated over 1,000 Yuan of cash [equivalent to two months average salary for an urban worker] and a cellular phone. Zhang Qingzhong has been released on bail because of illness.

In February 2003, Zhang Qingzhong and another female practitioner who is over 70 years old went to visit his relative in Neixiang County. On the way, they tried to clarify the truth to a driver. However, the driver reported on them later. In Neixiang County, people are encouraged to report on Falun Dafa practitioners with a reward of 200 Yuan in cash per practitioner. The two practitioners were arrested at Zhang's relative's home. The several hundred Yuan that they carried with them was confiscated. The senior female practitioner started a hunger strike for two days, and the police extorted 1,200 Yuan before they released her. Zhang Qingzhong was transferred to the Nanzhao Detention House. As of April this year, Li Jinying, Wang Xiuyun and Zhang Qingzhong are still being illegally detained at the Nanzhao Detention House. Du Shuhui is being detained in the brainwashing class held at the Nanyang Politics & Law Cadres' College.

On March 31, 2003, some people broke into 62-year-old female practitioner Wang Cuiying's home at Louzitong Village, Tongji Neighborhood of Jimo City. They searched through her living quarters and found her Dafa books and two spray guns. They threatened the old lady and intended to take away her books. Wang Cuiying resisted their crimes and put her life on the line. Because of her unshakable determination, the thugs were shocked and left. Three days later, at about 6:00 a.m. on April 3, 2003, people from the local "610 Office" and police station went to Wang Cuiying's home again and arrested her. She didn't even have time to put on her jacket before she was taken away. Later on, police came to her son's place and harassed him, in attempt to arrest his wife (a practitioner as well). Because of her family members' strong resistance, they failed to do so. Currently Wang Cuiying is being illegally detained at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp and is subjected to forced brainwashing.

Sun Weibin, Party Secretary of the Louzitong Village, is mainly responsible for this persecution. He has participated in persecuting other practitioners many times.

On April 3, 2003, Ji Dianhao, a practitioner from Zhengdongpo of Linshan Town who was released several months ago after three years of unjust detention in forced labor camp, answered a phone call from a woman. The woman told him that his daughter (a 12-year-old student going to school in Linshan Town) had a stomachache and was sent to the hospital in Linshan Town. She told him that his daughter needed a family member to look after her. Ji Dianhao told the woman that he would go to the hospital immediately. But the woman told him that it would be more convenient for the mother to look after the daughter. Upon hearing the news, Ji Dianhao's wife Shao Shouxiang, a practitioner as well, thought over the fact that it took a while (about six miles) to walk to the hospital and that she needed time to borrow some money for the medical expenses. So she asked Fang Shaoliang and his wife Wang Xin, practitioners who live at the No.3 Village of Linshan Town, to go to the hospital to look after her daughter before she could make it there. To their surprise, it was a trap arranged by the evil. Shao Shouxiang, Wang Xin and Fang Shaoliang were all arrested at the hospital and sent to the Wang Village Brainwashing Center in Zibo City. They have not been released yet. A couple of days before this case occurred, Cui Yuanzhang from the Linshan Police Substation had been to Shao Shouxiang and Fang Shaoliang's home. The evil had planned this for some time.

On April 7, 2003, Deng Xiaobo was reported on while buying tapes at the Dongshi Department Store in Jilin City. Police from the Dongshi Police Substation arrested her. She is currently being unjustly detained in the No.3 Detention Center in Jilin City.

On April 14, all the policemen from the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems], the Public Security Bureau, and police substations in Qingbaijiang District came out and unjustly arrested twelve Falun Dafa practitioners. Chen Guijun and three other practitioners were arrested in a park. The rest were arrested at their homes or rented apartments. The policemen confiscated two computers, four printers, one photocopier, two cassette recorders and tens of thousands Yuan in cash.

These practitioners were beaten up during their detention. Police also arrested two non-practitioners simply because they rented their rooms to Falun Dafa practitioners. Security guards from the Chengdu Steel & Iron Plant were involved in the persecution as well. They employed even more brutal means in persecuting practitioners.

On April 21, 2003, the Heizuizi Female Forced Labor Camp put up a notice, not allowing family members to visit practitioners detained in the camp with the excuse of preventing "SARS" from spreading into the labor camp. On April 22, many practitioners' family members were refused entrance to the reception room. However, when about seven practitioners were sent to the labor camp for detention, they were accepted right away.

On August 21, 2002, Xu Feng was unjustly arrested while clarifying the truth to people. Xu Feng walked out of the demon's den with his powerful righteous thoughts on September 1, and came back to the current of clarifying the truth and exposing the evil. On October 17, he was arrested again, suspended in the air and beaten for several days. Meanwhile, Guan Qiang, Ma Yuling (female) and Wang Zhihua were arrested one after another. They have been unjustly sentenced to around seven years in prison.

The police also substantially plunder practitioners' money and property. For example, they searched Ma Yuling's home, confiscated over 6,000 Yuan of cash and some valuable possessions such as a cellular phone, without any proper legal procedure. Xu Feng's home was searched a second time when he was arrested again. Police took away one notebook, one television set, one printer, one CD-burner, and two cellular phones. His wife was unjustly detained for several days as well.

Meanwhile, the police arrested about six non-practitioners with the excuse of "harboring" and "providing shelter to" practitioners. Each of them had several thousand Yuan extorted from them as bail before they were released.

Li Dongmei, a practitioner from the Provincial Party College, was reported on while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa at the Anning Clutch Factory. She was then arrested and sent to the Gongjiawan Brainwashing Center. Police searched her living quarters and confiscated her Dafa books and materials. Several days later, four people from the "610 Office" at the Provincial Party College and the Shilidian Police Substation sent Li Dongmei to the Tianshui Mental Hospital for intensified persecution.

On the evening of April 9, 2003, Zhou Derong and Huang Zhizhen (female) were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. On the morning of the next day, policemen from the Police Department in Shashi District unjustly searched Zhou Derong's home. The two practitioners' current whereabouts are unknown.

Falun Dafa practitioners being detained in the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp have finished their terms one by one. However, they were transferred to brainwashing class for intensified persecution. Li Shitou, a young teacher from the Hebei Engineering Institute, is one of them. He should have been released on April 22. However, he has been tortured in the brainwashing class for several days now.

Sichuan practitioners Ma Ping, Liu Zhizhao and Cao Shumin were unjustly arrested while clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa in Niushikou District of Chengdu City on April 21.

Huang Huichan, female, is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Zhongshan City. She was arrested while at home in March of 2003. Police also searched her home and confiscated her Dafa books and materials. Her family members were not allowed to visit her or bring her any necessities simply because she refused to tell the source of her materials. It has been reported that the local "610 Office" plans to send her to forced labor camp.
