1. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] Wang Zhiguo, a Disabled Dafa Practitioner, Is Illegally Sentenced to Jail

On January 26, 2002, Wang Zhiguo was illegally arrested by police officers from the Jianping County Political-Guard section and the Hebei Police Station. In the detention center, on two occasions and for a total of eight nights, he was not allowed to sleep. After a few months of detainment, he was illegally sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp;, but no labor camp wanted to accept a disabled person like him. So police officers extorted 7000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] from him as bail and let him go.

Wang has been unable to walk since childhood. He relied on a three-wheeled hand-powered cart to move around and make a living. His meager income came from doing artwork. He had to support his elderly parents, a wife with mental instability, and two children who are students. He was unable to pay the 7000 Yuan, so he was sentenced to seven years in jail. Wang is now detained in the Fourth Jail of the Shenyang City. His family has become indigent.

2. [Minxi, Fujian Province] Practitioners Detained in Qingcaoyu Jail Firmly Retain their Belief in Dafa

Dafa practitioners who were illegally detained at the Qingcaoyu Jail, Minxi, gradually realized that being illegally detained and deprived of the right to study the Fa and practice exercises are arrangements made by the old forces and should not be accepted. Abiding by the jail rules is conniving with the evil. So the practitioners started resisting the persecution in various ways. Police officers then persecuted the determined Dafa practitioners by not allowing family visits.

3. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Appeal to Fellow Dafa Practitioners Outside of China to Please Help Stop the Persecution by Police Officers in Fuxin City

At noon on April 12^th, three Dafa practitioners (married couple Kong Xiangjian and Xu Zhishen along with Li Yuxia) were arrested by police officers. They are being detained at the Xindi Detention Center. Police officer Zhang Xuan, about 30 years old, is known to specialize in persecuting Dafa practitioners. He has been involved in almost every arrest of Dafa practitioners in the city. He once tortured Dafa practitioners and extorted money from them. His mobile phone number is: 86-13941800914.

4. [Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Dafa Practitioners Are Heavily Sentenced

Eight Dafa practitioners in the Hulan county (names unknown) were arrested for delivering Dafa truth clarifying materials. In early April, they were sentenced to 8 to 12 years in jail by the Hulan County Court.

5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Two Female Dafa Practitioners Are Kidnapped and Sent to Brainwashing Center

In mid-April 2003, Dafa practitioner Lu Huixia (female, in her 30s) and Hu Mingru (female, in her 40s) were kidnapped and sent to the Shenghui Brainwashing Center.

6. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Officials in the Gushan and the Donggang Township Persecute Dafa Practitioners

On September 9, 1999, over ten Dafa practitioners, including Song Jiwei and Wang Bingli, were illegally arrested by the Gushan Township government. These practitioners either went to Beijing to appeal or clarified the facts about Dafa to people. Some of them were illegally sentenced to forced labor camps, some were illegally detained, and others lost money through extortion by the police. Since July 20, 1999, there have been dozens of Dafa practitioners sent to the forced labor camps or detained by officials of the Gushan Township Government. Officials have entered and searched Dafa practitioner's homes by climbing over walls in the middle of the night.

On January 11, 2002, Wang Chunyu, from the Donggang Township Police station, local officials Wang Yuanjun, Political-Guard Section Chief of the Donggang City Police Department, along with Wang Runlong, broke into Dafa practitioner Ning Shuyan's home to search and arrest Ning simply because Ning practices Falun Gong. Another Dafa practitioner, Qi Shuhua, was also arrested and beaten by police head Wang Zhaowu, which caused Qi's nose to bleed. Qi was detained for four months. Police officers extorted about 10,000 Yuan from Qi and Ning. Ning Shuyan was illegally sentenced to two years in the Masanjia forced labor camp. When she arrived there, however, she was diagnosed with serious diabetes and was sent back home. After about 20 days, police officers again came to harass her, and threatened to arrest her. She was forced to leave home and hasn't returned for more than a year.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Zhang Yunping Is Illegally Detained in the Second Detention Center

On March 30, 2003, Zhang Yunping was arrested by police officers from the first department of the Tangshan City Public Security Bureau and the XinQu Public Security Bureau Branch. Zhang was detained at the Security Department of the Tangshan Steel Company. On April 3, Zhang was illegally sent to the Second Detention Center of Tangshan City.

8. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Convert to Another Cultivation Practice and Renounce Dafa

Recently, officers from the "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] of Changde City tried to coerce the illegally detained Dafa practitioners into renouncing their belief in Falun Dafa and convert to Buddha Amitabha's school of Cultivation Practice. Dafa practitioners who refused to do so were persecuted by being tortured, humiliated, or forced to work. There are at least 50 Dafa practitioners being illegally detained right now.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Chen Fu Is Arrested and Detained by the City "610 Office"

Chen Fu was an employee of the Sujiatun Metal Machining Company. Chen was illegally arrested recently and sent to the "Law Education School" inside the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City.

While Sun Yigang was just released from the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp after being illegally detained for one and one-half years, his uncle Sun Renzhi was illegally sentenced to one and one-half years by the Fucheng District Police Department Branch of Mianyang City because he delivered Dafa truth clarifying materials. He has been sent to the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp.

On April 17, 2003, Dafa practitioner Zhang Xin from the Huagong District, after being followed, was kidnapped while delivering Dafa truth clarifying materials.

12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Young Teacher Ni Ming is Illegally Detained In Pixian County Detention Center

Ni Ming, was a teacher at the Sichuan Commercial School. Before July of 1999, Ni Ming was fired by the school on a pretext after he introduced Falun Gong to his students. Later, he was illegally arrested for delivering Dafa truth clarifying materials and detained at the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp, in Mianyang City, for one year. After being released from there, he persisted in Dafa study and acted with righteous thoughts. On November 18, 2002, a student reported that Ni was clarifying the truth about the persecution of Dafa to students in the student dormitory of Sichuan University. He has been illegally detained at the Pixian County Detention Center for over five months.

Zhang Xiaonan should take responsibility for persecuting Ni Ming: he was formerly the principal of the Sichuan Commercial School, and is now the Party Secretary of the Chengdu Science and Technology University and the director of it's "610 Office."

13. [China] The Authorities Are Scared to Continue Wrongdoing After the Righteous Thoughts of a Dafa Practitioner's Family Member

In a detention center, when Dafa practitioner A was badly beaten, the other Dafa practitioners started a hunger strike in protest. Police officers asked the practitioner's relatives to try to persuade the Dafa practitioners to eat. Dafa practitioner B's relative asked why B did not eat, and B explained the situation. B's relative argued with police officers in the center. The police officers had to apologize after hearing the righteous thoughts of B's relative. B's relative then stayed until late that night and warned police officers not to beat people anymore.

14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners Li Qingbo and Yang Linge from Jiangan District Are Arrested

Li Qingbo, male, about 35 years old, was harassed many times by the Jiangan District "610 Office" and the Danshuichi Police Station. In April 2002, he was illegally sent to the Hewan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan City for one year of detainment because he delivered Dafa truth clarifying video CDs. After the one-year term, he was directly transferred to the Jiangan District Brainwashing Center where he was forced to stand for a long time, and not allowed to sleep.

At 4 p.m. on April 16, 2003, Tong Liying, the director of the Xuzhou New Village community area of Jiangan District, together with police officers from the New Village Police Station, went to the Laundry Shop opened by Dafa practitioner Yang Linge (female, 27 years old). Without any reason, they arrested Yang and sent her to the Jiangan District Brainwashing Center.

15. [China] The Chinese Public Security System Is Training Special Agents to Arrest Dafa Practitioners

Recently, a "National Guard Organization" especially focused on persecuting Falun Gong was set up in the Public Security System. Its members were specially trained through studying Falun Dafa books.

The organization makes use of the mentality of Dafa practitioners that are eager to explain the facts about the persecution, and the fact that Dafa practitioners are not suspicious of their own relatives, to access Dafa practitioners through their relatives. Or the officers pretend to be Dafa practitioners to collect information about how Dafa practitioners contact each other and the Dafa material producing sites. As soon as the officers have enough information, the special agents start secretly arresting Dafa practitioners.

The street office, residential office, and the village office are allowed to trick Dafa practitioners into going to a place by saying there is something to do there, and then arresting them. Sometimes police officers go to arrest Dafa practitioners at their homes at midnight. Or they may supervise Dafa practitioners around their homes, or follow Dafa practitioners and arrest them at any time.
