Some Short Stories About New Practitioners in China

I gave a copy of Zhuan Falun to one of my friends before July 20, 1999. She read the book once, but didn't begin to practice. I met her again in the spring of 2001, told her about my experiences with Falun Dafa cultivation and what had been going on recently. I saw her again half a year later, and noticed that her complexion was very good and her spirits were high. She seemed like a different person. She told me that she had begun to practice Falun Dafa and study the Fa at home.

One of my former classmates lost more than 100,000 Yuan in the stock market and was on the edge of mental collapse. Trying to talk to her did not help. Later, a practitioner gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun. I gave her a mat for the sitting exercises and she began to practice. One day not long after, she called me and told me that she didn't want to die anymore. She said that she now knew the meaning of life and why we come to the world. She also told me that one of her coworkers lost more than 400,000 Yuan, and wanted to die, too. Her coworker had then begun to practice Falun Dafa after reading Zhuan Falun, and she's making good progress. She also said that the TV programs were lying about Falun Dafa, and that in fact, Falun Dafa had saved both of their lives.

1. Zhuan Falun was being passed around in the cells of a detention center. Mr. Zhang's turn to read the book came at 2:00 a.m. He read the book and then learned the exercises during the day. After reading Zhuan Falun three times, Mr. Zhang began to understand, and said that Falun Dafa was different than anything he had learned in the past, and he would definitely continue to practice it.
2. A customs worker, who was detained for embezzlement, studied and practiced Falun Gong during his over ten days in detention and was later released. He came back to visit us and told us that he dreamed that Master came to see us and he drove to the airport to pick up Master. He told Master in the dream that all of us were very firm.
3. Xiaogang had a bad complexion when he arrived in the detention center. After studying and practicing Falun Gong for two weeks his skin color turned normal and the black marks under his eyes were gone. One policeman said this practice was powerful, and wanted to read Dafa books. I called fellow practitioners to send a Dafa book to him. We received a few more copies of Zhuan Falun. Now each floor in the detention center has a copy.
4. Ms. Lan previously practiced another qigong. She believed that she was possessed by an animal spirit and felt miserable. I told her to practice Falun Gong, which she did. The police said that her case was very serious, but Lan commented, "We have Master and the Fa. We have nothing to be afraid of." She didn't really pay too much attention to it and was released about two weeks after beginning to practice. Her husband came to pick her up and said, "You look so good! How is that possible after being in detention?"
5. A woman from my hometown was sent to the detention center. She liked hearing from Falun Gong practitioners. She saw with her third eye the gong [energy] I generated like a fountain shooting upward when I sent forth righteous thoughts. She also noticed that there was a large Falun spinning on my back. She began to practice Falun Dafa herself.
6. Another young girl, around 20 years old, was admitted to the detention center. She said, "All four of you study and practice Dafa. I didn't believe it in the past, but what I saw here shocked me. The people who practice Dafa treat people very well, and they forgive. From today on, I will practice Falun Dafa." She studied the Fa, three to four chapters per day, and did the exercises twice a day. She can sit in the lotus position for more than 30 minutes, even though she never did this in the past. She also said she could not see anything yet but believes that Dafa is good, and also would ask her husband to practice Dafa.
