From a New Practitioner: Destined to Learn Dafa

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a businessman who makes regular trips between China and Russia. On the train during a recent trip to Russia, I met a woman who runs a business in Russia. She told me that she had read Zhuan Falun, and found it to be a very good book. She said this book reveals the true principles of the universe--Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, and asks the readers to become good people. That was the first time I had heard positive comments about Falun Gong. Her comments were different from what I had found in the Chinese media. I was astonished and puzzled. This woman appeared to be an honest and compassionate person. What she said shouldn't be falsified. But why was it totally different from the propaganda in China?

With this doubt in mind, I came to Russia, where my younger brother was studying. Among my brother's classmates, I found many of them held viewpoints about Falun Gong different from those prevalent back in China. Suddenly, I felt an impulse to read Zhuan Falun right away. It turned out that one of my brother's classmates is a Dafa disciple who learned in the early stages. From him, I read Zhuan Falun, and realized that it is actually a very good book. In this book, Master Li delivers profound truths in simple language. It contains the true principles of the universe -- Truthfulness-Compassion -Tolerance. This has provided me with a deeper understanding about Falun Gong. He also showed me a lot of CD's, which made me comprehend the facts. I was so ashamed of my ignorance in China.

Worried about being inspected on the way back to China, I left Master Li's book in Russia. Several days after my return, I suddenly felt that something was missing. I always felt uncomfortable, like an emptiness in my heart. Not until then did I notice that it had been a long time since I had read Zhuan Falun. I asked the Russian Dafa practitioner for help, and he forwarded me electronic copies of Dafa books, which I eagerly read. Gradually, I was able to understand Master Li's teachings, and further strengthen my determination to practice Falun Gong.

I went to Russia again. The Russian practitioner gave me videotapes of Master Li's Fa-lecture. He also practiced the five sets of exercises with me. Although I obtained the Fa not long ago, I knew I would like to be a determined Dafa practitioner. The predestined relationship has allowed me to contact Dafa practitioners several times, and let me locate the true principles out of the vast, hazy world. Many thanks to Master Li. In the future I hope I will also act like this Russian practitioner and influence my family members and the people around me so that I can have many fellow Dafa practitioners in China. In that way, I will never feel alone in China.

This is the story of how I learned Falun Gong. I should have known about this great and upright practice in China. However, the persecution being waged by the Chinese government has meant that I could only learn Falun Gong when I went to Russia. Dafa has widely spread everywhere in the world. People around the world are all aware that Falun Dafa is good. Dafa will certainly awaken many Chinese people who are still deceived, and make them realize the truth.

To new practitioners like me, the time is so short. I will certainly seize the day and do my best to do well in cultivation and Fa-rectification.
