An Entire Family of Six Is Illegally Sentenced to Prison and Forced Labor

Since July 22, 1999, Li Jiliang, Director of the Guoan Division of the Linshui County Police Department in Sichuan Province, Zhao Yong, the Vice Director, Hu Yu, and others have persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners in the Linshui region in the name of "carrying out orders from above." They have recklessly carried out the persecution using methods such as brainwashing classes, ransacking homes, and detaining, fining, sending practitioners to forced labor camps, and sentencing them to prisons. They have persecuted more than a hundred Falun Dafa practitioners. What is especially vicious is that they have brutally beaten practitioners who very firmly believe in Falun Dafa and have detained them over and over again.

Mr. Cao Zhirong worked for the Linshui County Cotton and Hemp factory. He and his entire family of six firmly practice Falun Dafa. As a result, they have been persecuted multiple times by the Linshui County "610 Office,"^* Li Jiliang, Zhao Yong, Hu Yu, and others.

Mr. Cao Zhirong was illegally sentenced to three years in prison. He was tortured to the point of being one breath away from death. After his family took him home, he had to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested. Mr. Cao's wife, Mrs. Tang Sulan was illegally sentenced to three years in prison. His eldest son, Mr. Cao Ping, was illegally arrested by the Linshui County Police Department and beaten by Li Jiliang, Zhao Yong, Hu Yu, and others many times. His hands and feet were broken as a result of the beating. Later, he was sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Cao's youngest son, Mr. Cao Jiguang, was illegally arrested in Chongqing City and taken back to his hometown. There he was beaten to the point of hovering between life and death. Later, he was sentenced to five years in prison. Mr. Cao's daughter, Ms. Cao Xueqin, was illegally arrested in Chongqing City and taken back to her hometown where she suffered cruel torture and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Mr. Cao's son-in-law, Mr. Zhang Ji'an, was illegally arrested in Chongqing City, sentenced, and sent to Chongqing Xishanping Labor Camp for three years. Those who have been cruelly tortured by Li Jiliang, Zhao Yong, Hu Yu, and others are Zhou Yanghua, Gao Hai, Jiang Guanghua, and others.
