In 2001, while I was illegally detained in a forced labor camp, the vice director of the camp said during a meeting, "210,000 Falun Gong practitioners are in detention nationwide." Since 1999, how many more practitioners have been illegally detained?

Many times since July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong, I have been arrested, fined, taken to the police station for interrogation, and my home has been ransacked. The policemen and people from the office and residential committee often come to search my home. My home phone has always been monitored, and I often receive threatening phone calls.

Two days before the 2001 Spring Festival, three policemen (one of them the vice director) suddenly broke into and ransacked my home. They confiscated my Zhuan Falun (the main of Falun Gong) and some articles about Falun Gong. Then they took me away. Because I refused to write a "Guarantee Statement" (a statement promising not to practice Falun Gong,) they sent me to a detention center. When I refused to sign my name on the document that sentenced me to a forced labor camp, they sent me to the camp by force.

I resisted the persecution, and held a hunger strike five times, without any food or water. I was force-fed. Because the labor camp was damp and dirty, the Falun Gong practitioners all had scabies. My arms and the lower part of my body were all festered, and my feet were festered so badly that I had to wear slippers in the snow in December. My hands could not use chopsticks, and when I urinated, I often lost consciousness due to the severe pain. When I returned home after the prison term expired, I slept on the floor for more than two months. I could not sit or stand still, and I could not lie down.
