Canadian Citizen Li Jinyu Calls for Help to Rescue Her Brother, Li Chun

I phoned my brother in China on the evening of May 22nd only to find out that he had been abducted by police.

His name is Li Chun. He's been practicing Falun Dafa since 1998. He refused to give up the practice after the persecution began on July 20, 1999, and he has suffered from the persecution. Both he and his wife have been detained three times and have endured physical and mental torture. They were deprived of sleep for 48 hours continuously. My sister-in-law was once hung with handcuffs for three days and nights by her wrists, her arms bent backwards, just for doing meditation exercises inside the detention center.

My brother's home was continuously monitored by the police. Last October, around National Day, the police watched his place 24 hours a day. After Li Chun was detained, a Neighborhood Committee member searched his home with six to seven policemen from 9 p.m. until midnight. They confiscated all of his personal correspondence.

At present, friends and family are not allowed to visit Li Chun; no one knows his current situation in the detention center. We are very worried.

My entire family and I have benefited a lot from practicing Falun Gong, both in terms of health, and harmony in the family. But Jiang started the brutal persecution on July 20, 1999. My husband Lin Shenli was detained in a forced labor camp for two years just for telling the "Letters and Appeals" Office the facts about Falun Gong. He endured unimaginable mental and physical torture. My brother-in-law, Lin Mingli, was also detained in a forced labor camp for two years for telling people the truth about Falun Gong. Now it is my own brother who has lost his freedom.

Jiang is currently being sued for genocide in the U.S. and Switzerland, for orchestrating large-scale propaganda, and a campaign of persecution against Falun Gong designed to "defame their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically.

I call for your help to rescue my brother, Li Chun, and I call for every conscientious individual to hold a trial in your heart to uphold justice.
