Practitioner Li Zhongmin Is Tortured to Death in Dabei Prison, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Li Zhongmin, male, 31 years old, was a resident of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. On March 4, 2003, he was tortured to death in Dabei Prison of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province.

Zhang Hongwei, a policeman who worked for the Dalian Public Security Bureau illegally arrested Li Zhongmin on Xiaoping Island of Dalian in January 2002. As a result of Zhang's active participation in the persecution of Falun Gong, his boss went against the regulations and promoted him to be head of the Kunming Street Police Station of Zhongshan District, Dalian City, providing him with the responsibility of specializing in the persecution of Falun Gong in that area.

After Li Zhongmin was caught, he suffered from various forms of torture inflicted by the police when he was been detained in prison. The vicious policeman Zhang Hongwei bears the inescapable responsibility for Li's death.
