Austria: Falun Gong Information Day and SOS Parade in Graz (Photos)

On May 31 2003, Austrian Falun Gong practitioners went to Graz to hold a
Falun Gong Information Day and SOS parade. It was a hot day full of sunshine, so
there were lots of people around who happily accepted materials about the
inhuman persecution of Falun Gong in China. Practitioners also distributed
leaflets about the genocide lawsuit against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. At the
same time, several Falun Gong practitioners continually demonstrated the five
sets of Falun Gong exercises. Many people were touched by the stark contrasts
between the beautiful and peaceful Falun Gong exercises, and the horrific
persecution of Falun Gong instigated by Jiang Zemin in China.
Many people came to the display table to ask how to help
Falun Gong practitioners, to sign the petition letter and to talk with
practitioners in detail about Falun Gong. One elderly person spent about 3 hours
talking with practitioners. At the beginning, he could not understand why Falun
Gong is being persecuted in China. Practitioners explained the facts using their
own personal experiences and told him how countless people have obtained a
healthy body and become better persons through practising Falun Gong.
Practitioners also added that the reason these activities are being held is to
appeal to stop the persecution in China, not to protest against any government.
After the elderly man heard all of this, he expressed his heartfelt appreciation
to the practitioners, accepted the materials and said that he would like to read
the main text of Falun Gong, Zhuan Falun.
