Practitioners in Yuanyang County, Henan Province Illegally Detained

Zhang Zhimei, female, 45, is the vice manager of the Sales Department of the Agriculture Bank in Yuanyang County, Henan Province. When her husband (a non-practitioner) delivered some goods to a certain buyer, the buyer gave him 1000 extra Yuan by mistake. After finding this, on April 25, 2003, she went out to look for this buyer to return the extra money. When she asked a person for directions in Taiping Town, she gave him a Falun Gong flyer. However, this person reported her to the police and she was arrested and sent to the Yuanyang County jail. On the same day, she was sent to a detention center.

Jin Guofu, male, 33, is a farmer from Mazhuang Village, Qiaobei Township, Yuanyang County, Henan Province. On March 12, 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa; however, he was captured in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province and taken back by Qiaobei Township police. He was detained at the Yuanyang County Detention Center for 17 days, and fined 2000 Yuan. On February 29, 2003, he was taken away from home by Qiaobei Township police and later detained at the Yuanyang County Detention Center. During his detention, his home was ransacked four times, and his VCR, Dafa books and videos were all taken away. He is still being illegally detained.

Chen Sumei, female, 35, is a farmer from Mazhuang Village, Qiaobei Township, Yuanyang County, Henan Province. On February 29, 2003, she was taken away from home by Qiaobei Township Police Station and she is still being detained up to this day.

Wu Honglian, female, 35, is a farmer from Mazhuang Village, Qiaobei Township, Yuanyang County, Henan Province. On March 12, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa, and was arrested. She has been detained at the Yuanyang County Detention Center ever since.

Two Female Dafa Practitioners Illegally Detained in Weihui City, Henan Province

Dafa practitioner Cui Faying, female, 63, lives on Houhao Street, Weihui City, Henan Province. She is a retired worker at a steel factory. On March 4, 2003, she was arrested at her home, along with another practitioner Shen Changrong (female, 55, living on Gongyuan Street, Weihui City, and a retired worker of Huaxin Yarn Factory) who was visiting her. They were taken to the Weihui City Detention Center. After going on a hunger strike for 8 days, Shen Changrong was transferred to the Xinxiang County Detention Center in Henan Province. She again went on a hunger strike there. Not wanting to take responsibility, the Xinxiang County Detention Center sent her back to the Weihui City Detention Center. At this time, Shen Changrong and Cui Faying are being detained together.
