Without High Mountains One Cannot Experience the Lowness of Valleys -- Why Jiang Wanted to Persecute Falun Gong
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong was first publicly introduced in 1992 in
China. It became quite popular because of the dramatic health benefits and
improvement in moral standards that people experienced. The benefits realized by
millions of practitioners proved that Falun Gong is good for the country and
it's people! In 1995, Mr. Li Hongzhi, founder of Falun Gong, was invited to
teach Falun Gong in France. This marked the beginning of Falun Gong practice
outside of China. It soon spread all over the world. The book Zhuan Falun
systematically explains the cultivation practice of Falun Dafa; it has been
translated into more than 30 languages and published worldwide. Falun Gong
practitioners can be found in over 60 countries and regions. It is recognized
and welcomed by many countries and local governments (including Hong Kong and
others). Falun Gong and Mr. Li Hongzhi have received more than one thousand
awards and proclamations from government officials and organizations for the
immense benefits Falun Gong has brought to mankind.
However, in China, the birthplace of Falun Gong, Jiang [China's dictator]
abuses his power by ordering the media to fabricate lies about Falun Gong and
Mr. Li Hongzhi. Over the past four years Jiang has violated the Chinese
constitution and has established a special agency called the "610 Office." The
sole purpose of this organization is to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. It
uses all kinds of unthinkable methods to torture the practitioners into giving
up their cultivation; it has consumed huge amounts of money and resources, and
has intimidated the people of China to carry out its mandate. Why did Jiang do
this? His actions can only be explained by looking at the difference between
Falun Gong's principles and Jiang's character. There is as an old saying in
China: "Without high mountains one cannot experience the lowness of valleys."
Falun Gong teaches people to follow the universal principles of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, so the practitioners experience deep
spiritual awareness and maintain high moral standards. By comparison, the
deceitfulness, wickedness, and cruelty of Jiang's character are exposed.
Therefore, he could not allow Falun Gong to exist.
Human nature tends to embrace goodness and avoid evil, and so Falun Gong
became enormously popular with the Chinese people. Jiang viewed the sheer number
of Falun Gong practitioners as a threat to his power, so he tried to eradicate
it. As more and more people around the world praised and respected Mr. Li
Hongzhi and Falun Gong--after they understood the benefits Falun Gong would
bring to mankind--Jiang's irrational jealousy reinforced his intention to
eliminate Falun Gong.
It is easy to see that Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong grew out of his
narrow mindedness, selfishness, unwarranted suspicion, and disregard of the
facts. We all know that one who has done so many evil things must be held
accountable. What awaits him is a legal and just trial and a legacy of infamy
that will be chronicled in history.
