Do What We Should Do with Dignity, and the Evil Is Powerless to Stop Us

(Clearwisdom.net) In May 2003, the police abducted me and took me to the county police department. I clarified the truth to them about Falun Gong and the persecution. I started a hunger strike on the very first day I was sent to the detention center, demanding an unconditional release. Next day, I thought that I would let everyone whom I met know the facts about the persecution. So I started to sing a song that exposes the staged "Tiananmen Self-Immolation." I sang the whole day, and the waves of applause from the inmates shocked the entire detention center. Some even shouted, "Sing it again!" During the interrogation, I refused to cooperate with the police. I also told them that I have committed no crimes.

In the cell, I used my righteous thoughts and actions to exhibit the magnificence of a Dafa practitioner. All the inmates in the cell have witnessed the greatness of a Dafa practitioner. Initially they did not dare come close to me. Later they all liked to be close to me. I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to them about the persecution, and they indicated that they understood.

During this time, the county "610 Office"* and the police department director tried to persuade me to write a repentance letter. I, instead, wrote a truth-clarification article and then handed it to them. After 3 weeks, my brother and sister, who are also Dafa practitioners, came to see me. They encouraged me to further let go of my human notions and walk my own path well. After coming back to the cell from the reception room, I started to recite Master's Fa. In the afternoon of that day, I showed severe symptoms of illness. I felt nauseous and vomited a lot. That night, the police were very scared and reported my condition to their superiors. I knew that the detention center was not the place where I was supposed to stay. "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is.?("Also in a Few Words") I then added one thought for myself, "I must get out to do what I am supposed to do." I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. I also asked Master to help me to get out of there. On the second night, I again vomited a lot of blood, feeling very weak. In the early morning, I started to vomit again and this shocked all the people in the detention center. They helped me onto the bed and reported my condition to the top officials. Since they were afraid of being held responsible for my death, they had no choice but to release me.

After getting out of the detention center, I started to go from place to place to avoid arrest and further persecution. Once I went out with a fellow practitioner to distribute truth-clarification materials. When I was posting the materials inside the county government compound, the police found me. The police came to arrest me on two motorcycles. They were closing in on me, and at that time, I kept my righteous thoughts and thought of nothing else. I just kept walking forward, and the police officers acted as if they didn't see me, and let me leave without any intervention.

There was another time when I went out with a fellow practitioner to give out the truth-clarification materials. After we finished, we found that the police were following us. While they chased us, they shouted, "Stop!" While shouting, they called to ask for reinforcements. I then said to the other practitioner, "You leave first." I turned back and walked toward the police. The police were stupefied, and they turned back and ran away. I said, "Don't run. Let's have a talk." While running, the police said, "Don't come over here." They hastily escaped.

I deeply realize that when we have rock-solid faith in Dafa and Master and do what Dafa disciples are supposed to do in a dignified manner, the evil has no way to stop us.

In the end, let us study again Master's article of "Also in a Few Words,"

"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness."

*The 610 Office is a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches.
