(Clearwisdom.net) On May 15, 2003, Ms. Liu Ruiqin, a female Falun Gong practitioner returned home after having been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. After having returned home she was then abducted and taken against her will to the Yanxiang Hotel by police officers from the Yudong Police Station and the Yuhua Public Security Bureau Branch of Shijiazhuang City, where she was then interrogated and tortured. The horrendous nature of the torture that Liu received caused her to have a heart attack. Her family wanted her to be sent to a hospital in order to receive treatment, but they were blocked by the local "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. At the end of May, without any concern for Liu's health, the "610 Office" sent her to the Capital City Brainwashing Center for further persecution. It's known that Liu Ruiqin has been on a hunger strike ever since she was abducted, which has now lasted for half a month.
