Police in Dalian City Cruelly Torture Falun Dafa Practitioners Wang Dawei and Qu Bin -- Shahekou District Court Decides the Sentences Before the Trial

Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Dawei, from Dalian City, Liaoning Province was illegally arrested on his way home from work on January 9, 2003 at the Dalian Train Station, and was sent to the Anti-riot Team of the Zhongshan District Police Station of Dalian City. For more than 20 days, he suffered brutal torture, including electric baton shocks, sleep-deprivation, attempts to force a confession under duress, etc. He has endured inhuman mistreatment of both a mental and physical nature. He is detained in #1-unit 5, Yaojia Detention Center of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. He is still being tortured there.

Falun Dafa practitioner Qu Bin, from Dalian City, Liaoning Province was illegally arrested on January 11, 2003, and detained in #11-unit 6 of Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian City, Liaoning Province. We learned that in order to create excuses for further persecution, the police of Zhongshan District Police Station of Dalian City interrogated Qu Bin 3 times using extremely mean and cruel torture. We learned that Qu Bin's eyes are injured, and he is very weak.

We hear that the Shahekou District Court of Dalian City is secretly planning an illegal trial for Qu Bin and Wang Dawei. We have heard that their sentences have already been decided. Although their family members can hire lawyers, the lawyer is only allowed to enter a guilty plea. All the evidence is fabricated, and the police have forced the practitioners to sign confessions under the cruelest torture. The court will hand down a decision of "guilty" based upon these coerced confessions.
