When My Van Was Going to Hit a Truck

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. On the morning of April 27, 2003, while I was driving a Toyota van, a big truck full of cargo was heading toward me on the opposite side of the road. Light rain was falling, and the road was very slippery. When both vehicles were about to pass by each other on a curve, the truck suddenly slipped towards the right side of the road. Reacting extremely fast, the driver made a sharp left turn to prevent the truck from flipping over. At that moment, the truck was blocking both sides of the road, and my van was approaching at high speed.

I had full load of passengers, and there was no way to stop my van in time. Seeing that we were about to hit the truck, the passengers became very frightened and called out, "We are done for!" I was too scared to open my eyes, knowing thirteen people in my van were about to die. At that urgent moment, an unseen force made me turn the steering wheel quickly to the left and then to the right, and before we realized what had happened, we were spared from the danger. Forgetting to cheer for our survival, passengers stared out the windows and did not know how to react.

Now, when I looked back -- how frightening it was! I know that our great compassionate Teacher had resolved this tragedy for us. After returning home, I talked to my family about this incident and how we were finally safe. My whole family thanked Teacher for saving us during the emergency by preventing a major traffic accident from happening.
