Karmic Retribution: Ex-Director of Shenyang City Telecommunication Department Receives Death Sentence for Corruption

retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions,
is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic
of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward
actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating,
torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another
way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due
retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of
this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who
persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires
that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by
reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution. Shao Wenzhang, ex-Director of Shenyang City Telecommunication Department
receives death sentence for corruption Mr. Shao Wenzhang is over 50 years old, and was the director of the Shenyang
City Telecommunication Department. During his assignment in the year 2000, he
illegally deprived Dafa practitioners of their jobs in his department, and
persecuted several practitioners. He has recently been found guilty of
corruption and sentenced to death, with a stay of execution. Vicious prisoners and policemen in Handan City Labor Camp, Hebei Province
receive immediate retribution Mr. Du Hetao is about 30 years old. In April of 2001, when he was serving his
sentence in the Handan City Labor Camp, he cooperated with the criminal police
in persecuting Dafa practitioners, and the methods he used were very cruel. He
beat many Dafa practitioners to the point that the practitioners' clothes were
saturated with blood. In May 2001, he bribed the corrupt policemen with hundreds
of thousands of Yuan,* and was released before the expiration of his term. A
month later, when he was in a Karaoke bar, suddenly three outlaws barged in,
brandishing knives and sharp axes, and attacked him. Eight of Du Hetao's fingers
were chopped off, and his head was injured. Mr. Cui Qingyi is over 50 years old, and is a prisoner from Daming County,
Hebei Province. In April of 2001, when the criminal policemen were rampantly
persecuting Dafa practitioners, he helped the police to persecute and beat Dafa
practitioners. Several days later, he suddenly suffered from tuberculosis and
became bedridden. His illness worsened rapidly, so he was bailed out for medical
treatment. It is unknown whether he survived the illness. Guard Li Haiming is over 30 years old. He is the Chief of the Second Team of
the Handan City Labor Camp. Since July 20th, 1999 he has been
directly persecuting Dafa practitioners. At the end of 2000 he was in a car
accident, and one of his legs was seriously injured. After medical treatment,
the splints and metal pins put into his leg could not be taken out, and today he
still walks with a limp. * Yuan is the Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban
worker in China is 500 Yuan.
