The Women's Prison of Jilin Province Abducted 117 Dafa Practitioners and Tortured Them Brutally

(Clearwisdom.net) At the end of April 2003, the Women's Prison of Jilin Province had abducted 117 Dafa practitioners. Among them, the longest jail term was given to Zhou Rongjun, who broadcasted truth-clarifying TV programs. The sentence was for 22 years. The shortest term was for three years. The prison organized a so-called "education and assistance corps" to brainwash Dafa practitioners. However, practitioners resisted the evil persecution and endured inhumane tortures using their righteous thoughts and righteous behaviors. Some practitioners even lost their lives.

Ms. Yang Guiqin was very firm in her Dafa belief, and refused to cooperate with the evil to attend the brainwashing sessions. The police in jail beat her badly and organized so-called "criticizing meetings" to publicly humiliate her.

Ms. Han Chunyuan refused to attend the brainwashing sessions, and went on a hunger strike to protest. On the 4^th day of her hunger strike, the police forcibly fed her by inserting tubes into her trachea. She died from trachea blockage. Ms. Wang Xiuyun was illegally sentenced to 12 years in jail. She was beaten badly, and as a result, had pain in her lungs and heart, and had difficulty breathing. She was diagnosed with tuberculosis, but she was not given timely medical treatment and passed away.

Ms. Liu Mingwei, 47 years old, from Jilin City, started a hunger strike on February 25, 2002. She was later released and went back home for 8 days. She was then abducted and taken to the prison again, so she continued her hunger strike. She has been tied to an iron bed everyday, with all four limbs tied in a fixed position, in order for police to administer the forced feeding. She is not allowed to contact anyone and has to have people carry her to the toilet. The police intentionally insert the plastic force-feeding tubes into her nostrils as a means of torture.

Ms. Yang Xu has already been on a hunger strike for over a month to reject the evil persecution.

Ms. Deng Shiying is currently on a hunger strike to resist the persecution.

Ms. Zhou Rongjun, Ms. Jiang Yan, and Ms. Zhang Ruixia were very steadfast in their Dafa belief and refused to attend the brainwashing sessions. They were forcibly segregated in confinement.

Due to the strict information blockage by the Women's Prison of Jilin Province, only a very small portion of the facts are available to be revealed here to the outside world. We are calling on international human rights organizations to pay attention and help end the atrocities in the Women's Prison of Jilin Province.
