Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Deqin of Chengdu City Detained in a Notorious Brainwashing Center

On April 23, 2002, someone who had been deceived by anti-Falun Gong propaganda reported to authorities about Falun Dafa practitioner Zhang Deqin, from the Town of Zhonghe, Shuangliu County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. She was illegally caught and taken to the Zhengxing Town Legal System Education Training Center (brainwashing center) in Shuangliu County by police officers from the Zhonghe Town Police Station. After being held for ten months, the police unconditionally released Zhang, who had gone on a hunger strike to counteract the persecution.

On April 7, 2003, the police of the Zhonghe Town Government Police Station illegally entered Zhang Deqin's home and took her to Zhengxing Brainwashing Center in Shuangliu County. She was transferred by "610 Office"* agents because she began a hunger strike to protest the persecution. We have heard that she is being illegally held at one of the worst brainwashing centers in Xinjin County, Chengdu City. Details of her condition are unknown. Her husband is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. To avoid being arrested, he had to leave home is homeless.
