Radio France Internationale (RFI): US Congress Urges Courts To Proceed With Lawsuit Against Jiang


(Clearwisdom.net) On June 12, 2003, Radio France Internationale reported the following in a program entitled "Asian Trends" that is broadcast to Mainland China and the Chinese region of Paris:

According to news from the Central News Agency, 38 members of the US Congress signed a brief, submitted to courts in Illinois, requesting them to continue with the lawsuit by Falun Gong practitioners against Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office," which was set up solely for the persecution of Falun Gong.

Last October, during Jiang Zemin's visit to Chicago, US Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit in a district Court in Illinois suing Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office" for the crime of persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
