Hungary: The Withholding of my Passport is Another Example of How the Jiang Regime Persecutes Falun Gong Outside of China

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Zhang Xiaoping and I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in Hungary. In May 2003, I had to apply for a passport extension because mine was about to expire and a new version needed to be issued. Therefore, on May 26 I went to the Chinese Embassy to apply for the extension. I received a receipt, like everyone else, stating that I should return to get my passport back on June 19.

However, on the day when I went to get my new passport, I was told that it could not be extended and was being withheld. I asked for the reason and was told that it is because I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I insisted that they give me my passport back, but they said that the decision was not in their hands and they had to ask for directives from the Foreign Ministry of China. During the entire conversation, their goal was to shake my determination in practising Falun Dafa using all kinds of inconsistent fabricated and false charges, slander, and shameless lies about Dafa. Did they not know that every person with a sense of justice can see right through their pathetic lies? They stated clearly that unless I signed a letter guaranteeing to give up Falun Gong, there was no way I could get my passport back. They wanted to make it difficult for me to stay in Hungary by withholding my passport; they wanted to force me to give up my pursuit of "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" [the fundamental principles of Falun Dafa] by means of disrupting my work and my child's education. This is further evidence of how the Jiang regime is persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners outside of China.

I want to say this to my fellow countrymen from the Chinese Embassy: you are now in a country where there is free flow of information, freedom of belief, and the protection of human rights. You are fortunate to witness the grand spread of Dafa all over the world. Good people of different countries and nationalities all believe in "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance." Any person who knows Dafa practitioners can feel their sincerity, kindness, and purity. Is it bad to have more of these kinds of people in the world? Jiang Zemin caused the torture and murder of countless innocent people in his crimes against humanity. He is now being prosecuted in the United States on the charge of genocide and he will be prosecuted by other countries too. Hubei 610 Office* head Zhao Zhifei, Beijing Party Committee Secretary Liu Qi and Deputy Governor of Liaoning Xia Dezen were all prosecuted in the United States and found guilty by the court. Why do you continue to do these evil deeds?

* The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
