A Group of Young, Promising, and Good People Are Illegally Sentenced to Prison

There is a group of young and promising people in Shenzhen City, who are about 30 years old, including Zhou Lei, Li Zhenming, Yao Hao, Zhuang Wenshu and Li Fulin. Some of them have Master's degrees, and some have Bachelor's degrees. In October 2000, because they persisted in cultivating Falun Dafa, their work and personal lives were severely disturbed. In order to clarify the truth to the government and people of the world, they threw truth-clarifying flyers into the air from high buildings on October 12, while Shenzhen City's Second China International High-Tech Trade Conference was going on. They were then arrested, and since then have been illegally held in the Futian District Detention Center in Shenzhen City.

After February 2001, the guards used various means to try and forcibly brainwash them, but they still could not change these practitioners' righteous beliefs and determination in Dafa. In court, they defended themselves, manifesting Dafa practitioners' righteousness and fearlessness when faced with the evil. At the end of 2002, the Futian District Court illegally sentenced these five practitioners respectively to 12, 10, 9, 7 and 7 years in prison. All of them requested appeals. June 20 was the deadline for the appeals.

Jiang's regime has deprived people of their freedom of belief, breaking apart their families, and disturbing their normal lives. Currently, they are being held in detention centers and are separated from the outside world. Their situation is very serious. We hope that people who have a sense of justice will reach out their helping hands.
