of the Tongzhaipu Township Government Around May 17, 2003, a young Falun Dafa practitioner, while presenting the facts about Falun
Gong, was abducted by police officers from the Tongzhaipu Township Police Station in Tanghe County,
Henan Province. The practitioner refused to give out his name and address to the police and was
inhumanely tortured. He has been held in the compound of the township government for five days by
now and is in critical condition. More details are under investigation. Falun Dafa practitioners are asked to send righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zheng Libin Is Transferred to
the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp after Two Years of Unlawful Custody in Beijing's Tuanhe Forced Labor
Camp Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Libin from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province was unlawfully held
in custody at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing for two years. On April 17, 2003, the labor
camp authority refused to release him. They colluded with the Jiamusi City police and transferred
Zheng to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp for extended custody. Zheng Libin was locked in a "small
cell" for four days and four nights upon arrival at the forced labor camp. [Note: A small cell is a extremely confined area, the length of which is less than the height
of man, with a width of about 3 feet. Besides the cement walls, there is only a steel gate. It is so
dark inside that one cannot see anything. On the ground are a couple of wooden boards, underneath
which is the toiletry. It is damp and humid as well. Many Falun Dafa practitioners have suffered
from being locked in a small cell.] 3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Elderly Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Xiaoqiao Is
Unlawfully Held in Custody On March 26, Ms. Zhang Xiaoqiao was unlawfully taken away by members of the local "610
Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over
each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and
officers from the police station. She was sent to the Tropical Forestry Lodges affiliated with
China's Forestry Academy located in Longdong, Guangzhou City. In the past four years, Ms. Zhang has
been detained and arrested numerous times. She has also been unlawfully sentenced to two years in a
forced labor camp. Whenever a holiday or a sensitive date approached, Ms. Zhang was harassed and
threatened. The Tropical Forestry Lodges is a new brainwashing facility. Brainwashing sessions have been held
on each Tuesday starting April 8, with fewer than 10 practitioners attending each session. Falun
Dafa practitioners who refuse to be brainwashed will be locked in isolation for further persecution.
This is part of a new campaign against Falun Dafa practitioners. 4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhong Fengyan Is Missing Ms. Zhong Fengyan started practicing Falun Gong in 2000, and she has benefited tremendously both
physically and mentally. At the end of 2000, she went to Beijing to execute a citizen's basic rights
by voicing a fair word for Falun Dafa. She was unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor.
After her term ended, she continued to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to the public. In April
2003, she suddenly disappeared. Her family doesn't know her whereabouts or even if she is alive. 5. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Those Who Are Responsible for Persecuting Falun
Dafa Practitioner Zhang Guirong On April 22, Ms. Zhang Guirong was abducted by the No. 1 Section in the Shuangyashan City
Division of the Police Department. Two police officers who pressured her to jump off from the fifth
floor are Dai Changpeng (mobile telephone number: 86-13846939000) and Li Hongbo (mobile telephone
number: 86-13946648219). On April 24, besides Ms. Qiu Shuying, several other female Falun Dafa practitioners, including
Chen Shuyun, Chen Ping, Wu Yufen, Shan Jinying, and one whose name is not known were unlawfully sent
to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp. 6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Cui Ningning was Abducted by the
Police Ms. Cui Ningning is 46 years old. On May 17, 2003, while she was distributing materials
containing facts about Falun Gong on the campus of the Henan Agriculture University, police officers
from Jinshui District unlawfully arrested her. On May 19, officers searched her home and took away a
notebook computer, a printer, a copier, videotapes of Teacher's lectures, Falun Dafa books, a
cassette recorder and numerous truth-clarifying materials and CDs. Her whereabouts remain unknown. 7. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Recent Developments in the Persecution Against Falun Dafa
Practitioners Prior to the May 1 holiday, Cuidong community cadres were sent by the Cuidong Police Station in
Benxi City to harass Falun Gong practitioners in the community. Practitioners were forced to write
statements denouncing Falun Dafa. This has caused disharmony among practitioners and their family
members. In order to avoid further persecution, some practitioners have been forced to leave home
and have no place to stay. In March, a site where Falun Dafa materials were kept was sabotaged in Benxi City. It is not
clear how many Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested. In April, a site where Falun Dafa materials were kept was sabotaged at Nandi, Benxi City. About
fifteen or sixteen practitioners were unlawfully arrested. In April, a brainwashing session was held in the Weining Resurrection Institute in Benxi City.

in persecuting Falun Gong by arbitrarily breaking into practitioners' homes to conduct illegal
searches and take away Falun Gong books. He has also confiscated residential cards at will. He Suzhen, female, 67 years old, is a cadre of the Taxi community in Benxi City. She is extremely
hostile towards Falun Gong and has been constantly harassing and cursing Falun Dafa practitioners.
She has on numerous occasions sent practitioners to the police station for persecution. 8. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Han Hong was Unlawfully
Placed under Arrest 9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Frenzied Arrests of Falun Dafa Practitioners and Sabotage
of Sites Where Truth-Clarifying Materials Are Kept On May 16, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Ruilan was abducted by the police in the Daowai area. On the afternoon of May 19, the police besieged a site where Falun Dafa materials were kept in
Building No. 7 in a community on Harbin Airport Road. They sawed down the door and arrested Falun
Dafa practitioners Ms. Wang Cuihua, Ms. Yan Chunling, and Mr. Zhang Chuanzuo. On the afternoon of May 15, five or six sites where Falun Gong materials were kept in the No. 211
Hospital in Harbin were searched simultaneously. Over a dozen Falun Dafa practitioners were
arrested. Sources in the police forces revealed that this was the result of a lengthy operation of
tailing and surveillance. Since May 15, several sites have been sabotaged which led to many Falun Dafa practitioners being
arrested. 10. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Lu Zhi'e Unlawfully Arrested
around May 9 by the Police 11. [Beijing] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Feng Guoqin from Chaoyang District Is Arrested Soon
after Being Released from a Forced Labor Camp Around April 25, Ms. Feng Guoqin, 54-year-old, was unlawfully taken away by the Chaoyang Division
of the Police Department. Her home was ransacked and all Falun Gong books and materials were
confiscated. Ms. Feng Guoqin served one and a half years in the Xin'an Women's Forced Labor Camp. It
has been less than six months since her release. 12. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners at Zhaogezhuang Mine in Kailuan Are
Unlawfully Placed under Surveillance The Party Committee of the Zhaogezhuang Mine Group and the "610 Office" in Kailuan have
ordered all the mining sections, fields, and teams to place Falun Dafa practitioners under
surveillance around the clock. Dedicated personnel monitor the practitioners during work hours. The
company has also setup sheet-metal cabins at the gates of residential compounds. Two people are
assigned to each shift. Over 70 people have been sent in from various subsidiaries. This
surveillance team has enough people to follow practitioners whether practitioners are visiting
relatives and friends or simply going grocery shopping. Falun Dafa practitioners being tailed include: Liu Huating, Wang Baoyin, Zhang Fuyin, Huang
Baoyuan, and Liu Cuiqing (female). 13. [Beijing] Beijing Police Continue to Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners while SARS Runs
Rampant Residents in Beijing have been worried about SARS. According to internal official sources, some
people who had once quit practicing Falun Gong have resumed practicing as a result of the SARS virus
running rampant. [Note: because of the tremendous health benefits that practitioners experience]
Others have started practicing Falun Gong for fear of falling victim to the SARS virus. The police
are intimidated; however, officers still blindly follow instructions to continue the persecution. One officer in a police station in Shijingshan area who participated in the inhumane treatment of
Falun Gong practitioners has died of SARS. 14. [Heilongjiang Province] Local Government in Gaoleng Area Affiliated with the Fangzheng
Forestry Bureau Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners Since July 20, 1999, the local government in the Gaoleng area has closely followed the Jiang
regime in persecuting Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa practitioners. Falun Dafa practitioner Li Hongkui
was unlawfully sentenced to one year in a forced labor Camp. He was never sent to the forced labor
camp, but held in the local detention center instead. It has been over three years, and Mr. Li is
still held in custody. At the moment, all Falun Dafa practitioners unlawfully held in the Gaoleng
Detention Center are on a hunger strike. They have been taken to a hospital and are in serious
