Dalian City: A Woman and Daughter Are Illegally Detained, Forbidden to Attend Husband and Father's Funeral

Dafa practitioners Ma Guiqin and Ma Li (mother and daughter) from Dalian city, Liaoning province, were both detained at Yaojia detention center and Dalian city labor camp. Ma Li's stepfather died of a car accident on April 25th, 2003.

After the accident occurred, Ma's relatives and friends took evidence to the police station, the detention center, and the National security group requesting the release of the mother and daughter so they could take care of the funeral affairs. However, the person in charge didn't release them, giving the excuse of "prevention of SARS."
