Beijing's Fangshan Police Station: "Go Ahead and Report Police Brutality; No One Dares to be a Witness"

(Clearwisdom.net) Belated report from China:

On January 2, 2003, Beijing's Fangshan Police Station illegally arrested approximately 30 local Falun Gong practitioners. The police personnel beat and cruelly tortured the practitioners by hitting and kicking them, as well as shocking young and elderly practitioners faces, necks, and hands with electric batons. An electric baton continuously bounced off the body of a female practitioner over 60 years old, when the police attempted to shock her. The police did not enlighten to why this was happening and they stubbornly continued to inhumanly torture this elderly lady by forcing her to hold the high-voltage baton with her cuffed palms, while they electrically shocked her.

While being shocked by the electric baton, another practitioner righteously and resolutely questioned the police officer's violating the law, pointing to the slogans on the wall which said that police act gentle and kind to people, as well as refrain from beating, hitting, or cursing. A public security leader replied, "Go ahead and report police brutality. I'd like to see who will be your witness; no one dares to be your witness." The police officers tried to hide their crimes by not wearing their uniforms while participating in the torturing of Falun Gong practitioners.
