Seattle: Practitioners Hold Press Conference and Call on Washington State Residents to Support Justice with Conscience (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net June 7, 2003) At noon of June 5, 2003, Washington State Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in Pike Market Place Victor Steinbrueck park at downtown Seattle and called on Washington residents to condemn Chinese former president Jiang with justice, conscience and courage, and support US district court to process the case of suing Jiang and help release of American Citizen Charles Li being imprisoned in China.

In the press conference, Western practitioner Mike listed various brutal tortures that Jiang's regime used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners during the last four years and narrated about Dr. Charles Li's arrest in January, being sentenced to a three-year imprisonment later and being force-fed during a hunger strike to protest illegal imprisonment. Ms. Zhan, a Washington State resident and Falun Gong practitioner narrated her personal experience that police followed, arrested, interrogated and beat her when she went to Beijing in February 2002. She called on people with conscience to help stop the persecution.

After the speeches, practitioners demonstrated the exercises to audience. It was a nice day and many people visited the park. Visitors stopped and viewed the pictures explaining Falun Gong and showed their support to practitioners by greetings.
